Wahey! I was sure they were going to give it to someone else like Tavares, just 'coz. Nice for MDZ to get some recognition!

Great Job! I am glad the rest of the league is recognizing MDZ for his great play. The Rangers haven,t had a homegrown bonafide star since Leetch. Let,s hope MDZ is the next one.

Watching all the video highlights of him on the front page of nhl.com made me realize he really does deserve it. So exciting to have del zotto doing so well so early.

I think the most impressive aspect of del zotto's play so far is that he plays a fearless, decisive game and that's really not easy for a rookie let alone a 19 year old rookie. Sanguinetti's looking really promising too with 4-11-15 in 12 games with Hartford. I'm looking forward to seeing a Sanguinetti call up at some point this season.

It's great to see your young players lighting it up in the nhl while your minor league team has 3 of the top 5 scorers in the ahl.

What about Henrik?

Great Job by MDZ stepping up and taking the opportunity in front of him. I was critical of him at first but I am very glad he has proved me wrong.

It's Rookie of the Month, not Year, so it's possible.

Hopefully it's only the first (and least significant) of many NHL honors.

Congrats to MDZ. He deserves it as he was a huge piece in the Rangers' hot start. Now that they've come down to earth, he continues to play both sides of the puck at a high level.

I was pretty vocal about drafting Carlson ahead of Del Zotto, but the kid is winning me over quickly.

Unfortunately, I think he'll fall short in the Calder voting. There's just too many rookie forwards making waves for him to have a chance unless he puts up a 45+ point season and starts earning bigger minutes in tougher situations.
