lolno. How can a player who's played 7 games be pretty much the team MVP for the month?

I'm not a Price basher, actually I don't think he's played that bad.

But no, he does not deserve it, Plekanec, Cammalleri, Hamrlik and Metropolit should have got it way before him.

He won 2 first stars (the first two games) and one second star against Chicago.

No, it's not deserved, but then again the Molson cup is stupid.

I guess thats the closest we can get to a correct answer. A guy can have 3 awesome games then crap the bed for the rest of the month and still win this cup.

I don't think you can say he really "crapped the bed". He played well enough to win in front of a good team in most of his games and he barely even played. I think this is definitely a stupid award, but it does show that he was stellar in our first 2 wins of the season and very well against Chicago.

I'm surprised about this,I was sure it would have been between Plekanec and Cammalleri, however besides the Vancouver game witch the hole team played like crap,Price was solid in all his starts

Plekanec or Cammalleri deserve it , but Price has been the only reason we won the 2 first games and stayed competitive vs Chicago, so he has been part of the ''stars of the game'' more than other players.
No one cares about the Molson Cup anyway. Even Lapierre won it.

Look at who decides of the 3 stars and you'll have your answer.

My October 3 stars;
Plekanec / Cammalleri / Moen

Awards:
It's based on the number of star selections a player had, nothing more. For those saying Price didn't deserve it, would you say he didn't deserve his first star selections vs. BUF and TOR or his second star selection vs. CHI? Didn't think so.

It's based on who was in the 3 stars the most games. You can argue it on a game by game basis but at the end of the month Price isn't chosen, he wins it based on numbers. It's kind of like asking if Ovechkin deserved the Rocket Richard trophy

Why would it be a ''zomg conspiracy theory to promote Price!!11!'' ?
He did win the first star twice and the second star once. That's why.

Meh, showing team spirit for being benched soo long?
I like Price just as much as Halak. But I have no idea why he got this.
edit:Maybe he didn't bail on us and ask to get traded?

The molson cup winner is basing on the points gained in the three stars.

Maybe he didnt deserved it but it shows he is not that bad as some pretends he is. He didnt get any help from his teammates when he played thats why he didnt get more "W" in his stats.

Goalies get too many stars in the average, so many times its hard for a others to take the award. Defensive dman rarely get noticed, and stats seem to dictate the stars, so it isn't surprising to see Price win. A couple good games a month puts you in the running.
