You missed the point. I am just saying the truth. Calgary did not care about the health of the players and there family's, they cared because they looked up north and got scared for there win loss record. They did what was best for them and could care less if someone who needs it does not get it.

Do not think for one minute that i think its right for them to do that at all. I am not high risk and never brokered a deal to get a shot so why would i have to tell someone who had a relative die anything other then i am sorry for there loss. Good for the flames do not be naive.

First of all, when this kind of stuff doesn't shock you, that's when it becomes something not worth dealing with... and second, HA101 actually mentioned the possibility of this very situation in another thread very recently and spoke of how it was going to be a cause for concern. That doesn't sound like someone that is surprised to me, so why bother trying to play this down by belittling people who actually care enough to voice their opinion. You're part of the problem, and clearly I have taken your remarks as saying "meh, it's ok," so maybe you should reconsider your effort.

"Farmers" didn't get the Tories a majority last year. Voter apathy did.

40.6% of eligible Albertans turned out to vote. If the PCs got 52.66% of that, then that means they got an overwhelming majority in the Legislature with only 21.4% support in the province. That is appalling, given how much negative press the party was getting in the weeks before the vote.

yeah right. Someone tell them to listen to Oilers fans outcheer their home crowd at the Saddledome. That will give them a good idea of who "Albertas team" is.

It is if you have cancer that needs diagnosing. However, the difference is ANYONE can pay their money to get an MRI faster. Are there private clinics offerring the flu vaccine to people who pay?

The Oilers have their own doctor and own facilities for MRI. If I want to pay I could get one faster.

Where can the high risk patients go if they want an H1N1 shot today.

It is not the same!

This. I can ***** and moan all day about it but will the goverment realistically action something fast enough...nope. The whole "we're investigating" is just sugar coating the situation-probably just thinking of some "reasonable" excuse to spew to the media

They can go to the Alberta Legislature and ask why they weren't given priority in the rollout, like Ontario and B.C. and ******* everyone else did.

who knows, 100% of the province could have shown up and they still could have got a majority

voter apathy just led to an easier win

I know Comrie has the flu now and can't get the shot but Comrie is in the group at risk because he has asthma.

Very good points and this kind of laissez faire attitude may be acceptable to some, however the bigger picture suggests otherwise and needs to be investigated.

That is right and they should be questioned and this just adds to it.

But by the same token I am guess I am little more ethical than the Calgary Flames organization. If it was the Oilers I would have already emailed and phoned the Organization voicing my displeasure.

I would not jump the que when high risk patients are at risk. I consider their life more important than my competitive advantage.

I know that seems so fanciful when it seems right that people should automatically look after number 1.

So be it!

There is another side to this.

Shouldn't other NHL teams be pissed?

While the Oilers (and others, I'm sure) got sick, the Flames were immune? Is this not an unfair competitive advantage?

This is going to get interesting.

Well, Alberta Health is screwed. They can't act like they didn't know about it if that's all true.

Actually my Aunt has cancer and as soon as it suspected she was able to get all the help she needed. She was never put on a list.

I have had other family with heart attacks and they were instantly helped.

That is the way it should work!

If there are doctors with the flu vaccine asking people to pay they should be reported!

Consequently, on Friday our players were vaccinated at an off-site clinic within the public system and under the direction of Alberta Health Services.

Within the public system-priceless
