I bet you're hoping that Forsberg signs with the Avs so that the Caps can trade him for Theodore huh?

Good lord. Theo is gone. What are you still doing here? You're a one-trick pony and your sideshow was old 2 years ago. Give it a freakin' rest already.

That was one of his last starts, just to refresh everyone's memory of how good he can be.

ugh.........

I am still here because I have been and still am an Avs fan since 1995... Thanks....

Theo happens to be my favorite goalie and then guess what, he played for the Avs...WOW

Good news, I am still an Avs fan. Thanks for playing though, cute little effort.

Ignorant? Nah...

I do not put up with his subpar goaltending because "he is such a nice guy" like so many fans say....

He sucks, end of story.

Name one team besides the Avs that would want him... good luck witht that.

Yeah, didn't have anything to do with the fact he made 6 million dollars a season and only won 41 games in two seasons.

Obviously you didn't pay attention to the Avs before last season. He's perhaps the best *true* back-up in the league. He does exactly what a back up in his position should. He performs wonderfully when called on once every ten games or so.

He just gets in to his head when he plays more than three games or so, and sucks.

Good is too strong a word to describe Budaj's play. I'd classify it as a smidge below adequate.

Wow Cream...you're right Budaj is much worse than Theodore, I mean just look at the stats from last year....they really prove you right:

Jose Theodore WAS 2.87 GAA .900 Save %
Peter Budaj COL 2.86 GAA .899 Save %

Oh wait.

Woah, I leave the place for a while and people are already having problems?
Okay. My 0.2 cents,

Theo > Budaj

Budaj's salary > Theo's salary

Budaj = decent back up. I wouldn't go as far to say that he is the "best". He isn't the worst back up nor is he the best. I'd still take Raycroft sooner than I would Budaj! I don't know if Gustason or Toskla count as back up [one of them do] but I'd take one of them over him too [I don't blame Toskla for his play, Toronto destroys goalies].

So, while Budaj isn't the greatest back up in the world he is a decent back up in the league.

Now as for the game, go avs!

Seriously? I mean, seriously? I'm no Theo hater, in fact I liked him while he was here and I support and supported the trade for him. But just because I didn't pay him (and in a way, having attended a few games and bought a jersey or two, I helped out), doesn't mean a big contract for an under-performing player isn't a SERIOUS detriment to the team I love.

Anyway, I think the Avs are gonna lose tonight, but I hope they prove me wrong!

Brewer is back and healthy. Do you think the Blues would revisit the Wolski + 2 firsts for Brewer trade that was offered 2 years ago?

Wow, watching that game made me realize just HOW terrible our past two games have been. We had way more chances in that game than our past two games combined.

Let's hope the boys can get it up for a home game.

Nope sorry... his contract from the Habs has absolutely no relevance.

You don't pay for his contract at all, so you can not complain about money.

Get back to me when you are writing the pay checks.

Exactly. He did that on a terrible, apathetic team. With arguably the worst D in the league. And yet his stats were the same as a guy on one of the best teams in the league. Hmm something seems uneven here....

What's Theo's excuse?

Home cooking...that is what this team needs and with having it last night, I think this should be a helluva game. Two surprising teams both looking to show they deserve to be where they are in the standings.

We've got the Highlander back!

Cody might not be the best fighter but by-God he will fight for his team. What I like from him fighting is that when knocked down he fights hard to get back up and into the fight to land at least one more good blow.

Or course it would be nice to see him do this too...

I love the shot of him in the penalty box giving it to the Kings player skating by.

GO AVs!

Cream, most folks here did not give dick about Theo's personal issues - who he was banging or what he put on his head.

Most Avs fans only cared what he showed on the ice and until the last half of his final year here, he sucked serious a$$ and took up huge amounts of cap space which could have been used to improve the team.

As a fan and supporter of the Avalanche I have every right to question what he was paid and complain long and loud about his inability to perform up to the standards of his over reaching contract.
