Have you had a chance to see POE and SAHA play? I have ssen them play I would be interested to see if anybody has any of their players ranked high. I am not sure where all of the players are from, but it is my understanding all of the SAHA boys and some of the POE boys are from the lower mainland. Also I thought Jerrit Smith and Luke Stripp were at SAHA.
Nope, they're both back in Surrey. I don't think SAHA has a whole lot. I have not seen POE yet. I've heard they aren't nearly as strong as last year, but I'm sure they still have a couple good prospects.
There's that Spencer Meyer kid who is very quick and skillful and not to mention a smart 96 centerman on SMHA that should definatley be on the top ten 96 list of b.c.
What about Brett Harris from 100 Mile whios is now plaing for Notre Dame?

What about Brett Harris? Last time I had a map out Notre Dame was in Saskatchewan, and therefore Brett would be considered in the Sask. rankings. Notice this thread says BC.

My apologies Hockeyhed.Yes this thread says BC. I have been around the province watching several of the 96 born players in the past year through spring hockey and tournaments. There are several players that have caught my eye.
Brett Menear (96) from Westside-Forward, skillfull play maker
Eli Jarvis (95) Quesnel- Talented forward, speedy with great vision
There are several from outside the lower mainland that should be on the top 10 list but do not have the exposure as they are playing in other areas of BC.
The honourable mentions category: Jackson Houck is too good to be on that list and Sam Reinhart is a solid player as well with good puck control . I havnt seen Evan Anderson play on NSWC or Mike Nolan any word on these guys?

I'm Hockey Stud. Couldn't come up with an original name or did you want to make claim to my posts? All kidding aside, BC teams displayed well in Medicine Hat.
Garrett Forster absolutely belongs on that list. Adam Rockwood is small, but can finish like no other.
Congrats to BWC for winning the Medicine Hat Tournament, and NSWC for coming in with the Bronze. Also, Joseph Carvalho, Anthony Ast, Nic Petan and Tristan Jarry for making the first all-star team.
I agree with BCHOCKEY , Zachary Landon #2 on nswc is a highly skilled defensman with loads of potential , size and smarts. Possibly a 9th , 10th rounder?
You might want include on your list of tier 1 96's South Delta goalie Will Bogas. He's
5-2-2 on the year, incl. last Thursdays 3-3 tie with NSWC, where he played for the last 5 years.
And also for the 96 rankings, Bamford should be ranked higher than 8th, him and Virtanen are arguably even. Skapski shouldn't be 7th he might have good skills and good speed but he's awful at moving the puck, and he's selfish.
Ohh, right. My bad.
Also...for 96 goalies.. there are better guys than Will Bogas; such as Adam Cronier (Seafair), Nicholas Bruyere (Burnaby Minor), and Cole Forbes (Cloverdale). All three, very good and very consistant.

I dunno, the record kinda speaks for itself, don't you think? Technically, Bogas is far superior to all three, and again, I remind you to look where he's playing. Starting goalie for a top 6 tier one team. When was the last time you saw him play?
Yeah, well Bogas definatly made the right move of playing for South Delta this year instead of NSWC. He's going to imporove lots this year, playing at that high of level... the game's just that much faster and the guys shoot so much harder than wgere he would've played B1 at North Shore. I saw him play the Chilliwack tournament. He's still quite a small kid.. but once he mutures and gets bigger, I think he's going to be much better. It's always impressive for a 96 goalie to make the AAA team who plays in tier 1... and still do very well. Just like Forbes and Cronier who are also both playing Tier 1.
Just thought I'd like to add my thoughts on each of these players...and I'd like to know YOUR thoughts about them.
Tyler Sandhu - Overall great skill, big , strong, moves the puck well, Only aspect of his game that is lacking is his defensive zone play. But Sandhu's a major threat when he's on the ice...
Shaun Dosanjh - Big. hardhitting defenseman. Great shot, smart player, unselfish. Just overall very skilled player.
Francis Bamford - Amazing skating, great shot, good playmaker. Very responsible in his own end. Like I said...probably one of the fasted 96's I've seen.
Can be thrown out on the ice at any situation; powerplay, penalty kill, etc.
Jake Virtanen - Another phanominal skater.Great hands, very creative out there. Not the best player without the puck but extremely skilled. Also an awesone shot, never misses to score when he has a chance.
Riley Stadel - Big hitter, smart, very hard shot, nice hands, bit slow times but good 2 way defenseman.
Cam Seto - Good defensivly, makes smart plays with and without the puck. Plays a little soft though.
Mitch Freisen - Also plays soft, but outstanding skill; shot, hands, speed. He's got all the tools. But lacks some intensity and will.
Josh Thrower - Likes to catch forwards with thier heads down. Not the fastest, or quickest player but good hands and good shot, and fairly smart.
Mitch Skapski - Great skater, descent hands. Plays big even though he's not and with an edge. But he holds on to the puck too long sometimes, doesn't always make good plays with the puck. Selfish too. Overall, he's got great skill and determination.
Viktor Dombrovskiy - Small D-man, but very smart, a great passer. A hard worker and disciplined. Quite physical for his size.
Kyle Baron - More of a defensive defenceman... makes a good first pass, got good speed and great shot. Besides his shot, Baron doesn't show very much offence but overall a very solid player.

So...any thoughts ?
How can Skapski be 9th while Seto's 6th...Seto's doesnt have nearly as much impact skapski has.
Mitch Skapski is better , hands down.
The first three rankings are very accurate..
1. Sandhu
2. Dosanjh
3. Bamford
