The way Martin is talking about in the press conference, he seems more frustrated about the forwards' poor defense coverage than the defensemen.

Well, now we see why Bergeron wasn't exactly a hot commodity this offseason.

Good for him for the assist but let's face it: all he had to do was shovel it over to Plekanec who took advantage of a completely out-of-position Pavelec.

He was lousy, yet again.
I thought he played well. Better than A kost anyway.

The problem was the D tonight.

Gaston Therrien laughing at Hal Gill, once again proving how clueless he is.

I'll grant that lack of 3 NHL starters on the blueline hurts badly, but this is not a defense that should be so terrible.

Blown defensive coverage like Jacques Martin just said. The players came back but weren't doing their job and pucks ended up in the net.

Cant believe how bad MAB has been lately, Im convinced even André Benoit couldnt do worst.. Mathieu Carle sucks bad, this kid cant take the pressure its obvious, his better asset is apparently his puckmoving skills, wow he struggled at doing everything tonight, I would rather play Latendresse on D over him next game, hope he is sent down right now cause if he stays on the team, Im sure not watching the next game...

SUBBAN'S TIME HAS COME!!!

Im pissed at how that D is, without any doubt one of the top 5 worst in the league as we talk.. I would call up Subban, Belle and Pyatt.. Bergeron in the pressbox as 7th defenseman.. A.Kost doing what he has been doing since the begin of the season but from the pressbox!!

Oh and BTW our little warriors will die on the ice before A.Kost start to show any sign of intensity or passion for this game..

Gill and O'Byrne have zero impact compare to Markov, the defense sucked anyway with them in the lineup.

We'll suck until Markov comes back, just face it.

These injuries aren't helping. Someone suggested in the GDT, converting MAB to forward.

AKost-Pyatt-MAB

Carle-Subban

4. Kostitsyn played one of his best games of the year.
5. Benoit Brunet should hang himself.
I agree with all of this. Although I don't know who #5 is.

5 of the 8. And 6 of the 7 wins.

Normal for a .500 team, but this team should be better than .500 even with the injuries. It has the talent, and it's doing too many things well. The defense has to be fixed, period, and while there's personnel problems I think the squad is adequate, so it's the coaching staff's job.

Halak is better!
Price must have the worst record by far of any goalie since January.
Yet in that same span, Halak has a very good record. Thats a large sample of games for both playing behind the same team to show who this team is better off with in nets.
Halak has better luck.

Don't get me wrong. Since Halak and Price are basically the same but Halak wins, let's play Halak all the way. Either we keep winning (doubtful) or we keep playing .500 and the pro-Halak will **** for a while.

He played for the Habs in the mid 90s, and kept getting hurt. I just hold a grudge.

Could MAB have stopped the Thrasher player from getting a pass off? Probably. However, it's not his fault that there was a guy completely alone in front of the net.
Bergeron made that a lot more confusing than it had to be because he was unsure what to do, which set everything in motion

The second goal Metropolit was nowhere to be seen and the last goal Gomez was slow getting back so that is true, I guess he realizes our D is **** already.

7-1, 6-1, and didn't we lose 3-1 to Ottawa?

How about Tremblay - Blanchard - MAB in the pressbox? They can whine about Québécois discrimination and Gainey's hate for frenchies together.
