I doubt it's sour grapes when it comes to Manny talking about the different team atmospheres, as his teammates didn't fail to sign him. Honestly, the Jackets' inconsistent on-ice product even seems to reflect what Manny said, though we can't know what it's like behind the scenes. (Oddly enough, Manny can .)

Of course, it'll be interesting to see what insights he has on the atmosphere when the playoffs come around. Freakin' San Jose better stop disappointing me...unless they're playing the Jackets.

He was aquired to spark the PP and add speed and good outlet passing to the team. That is what he does. Tonight he had 2 assists and +1 and was NOT on for any goal against. I'm not saying he was flawless in his own end but did ok and brought to the team what he is supposed to bring. But that is my opinion.
I agree, Stralldog.

Did you watch the previous six or eight games before the Pit game?

Of course he did, Jax, just go back and review the GDT of each game to enjoy all of his positive and uplifting contributions! In MFRONE's world, every CBJ shot should go in, every check should be devastating, and every opponent's goal is the result of an egregious error worthy of immediate demotion, if not execution!

Ugh. I guess you got your wish.

I hate losing SO games. It can go either way very easily and that valuable extra point is on the line.

Yeah, saw you on the scoreboard at the beginning of overtime. Good job. Do the bloody sharks and bloody penguin share the same cage?

I thought Filatov played well. Had his highest TOI of season I believe, and a couple shifts during the game he had some real nice looks on net but Nabokov just came thru. Also, LOVED him on the SO. Great move by Hitch and I was skeptical if he was going to do that. He had a nice move but once again Nabokov had some nice stick work.

Yes. And they are malnutritioned and forced to do labor.

I have some Ducks in there for next week . . . .

Kind of a boring, tight game but well executed by the BJs. It was quite obvious that Hitch didn't want a repeat of that run and gun game in SJ a couple of weeks ago. I think the BJs did a good job of limiting Marleau, Heatley and Joe. I know they did score, but those goals were more of the flukey kind IMO.

Nice to see Mason with a solid effort and a couple of very nice saves. Nabokov was solid too. Good defensive effort by the team, and considering two of the more creative forwards were missing, I think they did ok offensively and created enough scoring chances to win the game. They look kind of flat in the SO so far though..no confidence?

I've said it before: I'm looking forward to see this BJ team get it all together. With all guys healthy, a bit more experience on the young players and increased chemistry (can you put it like that?), this team will be VERY hard to beat IMO.

Man..you must really hate Strĺlman..did he steal your friends spot on the team or something!?
I don't know what kind of expectations you have on him, but he IS NOT a stud in his own end. He is an 23 year old offensive d-man with just 100 games under his belt making $600k.. Sorry I don't hate him but I know crap when I see it. He may not have been brought here for defense but if he is going to play consistently I don't think it is to much to ask of him to play decent 5 on 5 defense. Personally I think he has made the D worse by being out there because his puck awareness in his own zone is below average. At least when Commodore gets back that will significantly reduce his 5 on 5 time. Maybe he will look better with a decrease in responsibilities.

Okay so I missed the game last night due to work and I'm currently watching the "power playback" on FSN. Was the clock in the foxbox non-existant last night too? because it's 2-1 in the 2nd and there hasn't been a clock since early in the first.

It was there for the whole game on my TV, in glorious barely-readable light yellowish on black. There was no PP time clock for the entire game.

Filatov definately had a strong game, but he's going to have to learn to trust his linemates. He had a couple of nice up-ice rushes that could have benefited from a pass-like thingy.

Voracek is everywhere, all the time. It seemed like he had 67:00 TOI.

Chimmer seems to be gearing up to start a porn career in January of 2010.

Commodore sucked.

We have not scored a shootout goal yet this year, have we?

That explains it, I was watching in SD, probably had the regular clock crap out and so they spliced in a live feed of the scoreboard clock. I've seen it happen before and it is quite annoying.

Using the Huskins fight that you enjoyed so much, what if he had thought first after his hit and allowed Huskins to give the Jackets a powerplay opportunity? Instead, Boller gave the Sharks a free powerplay. If he had kept the gloves on, that's what would have happened. Unless he plays a smarter game, he will outlive his usefullness with the Jackets and probably end up in the AHL somewhere.
I have a feeling this is why Boll was so eager to fight Huskins. And why he fought so well against him.

**Disclaimer***PuckCougar you may not want to watch this vid

Players never forget, and once Huskins gave him that punch Boll wasn't wasting any time getting after him. Sucks he got the extra 2 mins, but he was able to make up for it drawing an instigator later in the game that Nash scored on to tie the game.
