What do you think?

Doan - Hanzal - Mueller
Korpikoski - Lombardi - Boedker
Prucha - Lang - Vrbata
Pyatt - Fiddler - Winnik

Hopefully we'll get to see a Boedker a lot, but I sort of doubt it.

Cut Upshall again? I mean he scored for us in the last game.

EDIT: Nevermind! Upshall is questionable for the start.

I think budaj is playing tonight. That should not hurt our chances.

I like the lines, but I think the order might be different based on what has been happening in recent games:

Doan - Hanzal - Mueller
Prucha - Lang - Vrbata
Pyatt - Fiddler - Winnik
Korpikoski - Lombardi - Boedker

or we could easily see:

Korpikoski - Hanzal - Doan
Prucha - Lang - Vrbata
Pyatt - Fiddler - Winnik
Mueller/Bissonnette - Lombardi - Boedker

Lombardi has been centering the fourth line. I can only assume it has been to shelter him since he is still hurt. Of course, since we know nothing about what is wrong with Lombardi that could change as soon as he is up to it, so maybe you're right.

That is sooo tempting, but...

I really thought Bissonnette had a good game against LA. I thought he really played well, probably built some confidence, and maybe some momentum. If the Avalanche dress Koci(they've only scratched him once this season), I probably keep Bissonnette in. At 6'6'' 240lbs, and mean, David Koci is about as much fun as Raitis Ivanans or Evgeny Artyukhin. A giant loose cannon just like the other two. I'd love to see Bissonnette fight him first chance he gets, and keep Koci off of the ice for the majority of the rest of the game(he only gets like five minutes a night). Koci will do something stupid and board a guy, or something like that. I'd like to have someone in there who can try to prevent that from happening.

I think Korpikoski has earned another start, as well.

I know it seems stupid to want to scratch Boedker in favor of Korpikoski, and especially Bissonnette, but I liked the idea of Mikkel playing the year down in San Antonio with Turris, Tikhonov, Porter, ect. I thought it was a good move. Of course, if he can get into the line-up because of the injury to Upshall, really take the bull by the horns, and impress the hell out of all of us, that would be great. Those proposed first two lines also look awesome. Hell, the whole line-up does. I guess that's worth a shot, too.

In the end, I just hope the Avs scratch Koci so we can scratch Bissonnette.

Sacco seems obsessed with keeping Koci in the lineup. He's been in there several times for more talented players. I know Koci has a repuation as a rather loose cannon, but as to this point on the avs, he's played okay (for someone getting 4 minutes a night), avoided playing bush-league, and really stayed out of the box. I'm not saying he won't do something stupid, but the way he has played this year on the avs hints that he wont.

FWIW, Bissonnette would probably kill David Koci, who honestly hasn't impressed me in the least with his fighting ability so far.

I've seen Koci run around in the past, maybe he's a bit tamer now that he's more established. I've also seen him in some pretty good scraps, so who knows? Still, I wouldn't bet the farm on Bissonnette. He's a very busy fighter, but he's more of a light heavyweight.

So w/ Budaj in net for the Av's do the Yotes start Babs, saving Bryz for tomorrow? Do the Yotes start Bryz & try to steal one on the road and Babs tomorrow? Or do the Yotes start Bryz back to back? Personally as solid has Bryz has been so far, Babs has earned 1 of the 2 starts in a "Back to back" situation.

I think after Bab's so-so performance Monday it's Bryz's opportunity to earn the back to back depending on how he plays tonite.

During the last game Labarbera burned a lot of his goodwill with his puck playing abilities and should only play in one of the back to back games if he can somehow be forced not to play the puck and has Burke explain to him that it is okay to freeze the puck when the opposition is attacking

If the goalies are going to split these games, I'd rather see Bryzgalov play the home game. It's more important right now.

I don't know what his exact record is but from memory Bryz is horrible against the Blackhawks.....horrible.

If only we still had MT! Then we would have no issue with who to start tonight and tomorrow night.

Another big test for Bryz coming up(if he gets the call) facing 2 of the best teams in the game right now.

Colorado off to an unexpected hot start like us and Chicago a cup contender if Huet plays well.

I know exactly what you mean. The Hawks pumped 7 goals behind Bryz a couple of times last year and owned us all last year.
We are a different team this year with Tippett and I am expecting much better results against the Hawks.

BOTH Mueller AND Boedker to be in line-up...

http://coyotes.nhl.com/index.html

So let's speculate...

Doan-Hanzal-Mueller
Korpikoski-Lombardi-Boedker
Prucha-Lang-Vrbata
Pyatt-Fiddler-Winnik

OT: Speaking of Boedker, I was wondering just how much extra money these kids are making off of these one game call-ups. Guys like Boedker and Porter probably make around 900k in the NHL per 82 games, right? Give or take. What do you suppose they're making in the AHL? 90k? Less? 60k? I assume you get paid by the game, healthy scratch or not. In the AHL they make roughly a thousand bucks a game, I would bet. In the NHL, more like ten thousand a game. Not exactly chump change. Earning a call-up, even just to sit, is a pretty sweet deal. Who couldn't use an extra nine grand in their pocket? That's probably ten percent of what they'll make all year in the minors, just for getting called up and being a healthy scratch for one game. Pretty rad.
