Hmmm Odd, I know some people claim there is no rivalry between the Wings and Kings per se, maybe not for the players, but I sure know for this fan there is, and I couldn't agree with you more.

GO SHARKS !!!

The sooner Detroit is eliminated, the better.

Honestly... and I know it sounds odd since they do play some terrific hockey more times than not... I'm just sick of seeing them every single year. Good for them that they are so successful, but my god... 19 years in a row is too many!

Sharks fans aren't too bad to deal with and they've been through the seventh circle of hell over the last few years. Give them a 3 round series for a change

Even this is pushing it for a Rob Blake captained team but if Blake has the turnover that costs the series, I am ok with it.

I can't root for either the Sharks of Wings.

I am rooting for a 7 game, exciting to watch series that leaves the winner so banged up there is no way they make it to the cup finals.

Meh, I'd rather Detroit win another cup than see Van or SJ win one.

Chicago and Philly are the only ones left allowed to win the cup.

NBC will get the dry heaves thinking about the prospect of televising THAT gem in the US.

There isn't a single team still standing in the East that any team in the West shouldn't easily be able to handle.

Well, I certainly don't want them to win, but I also wouldn't taste vomit the way I would with SJ, Det or Van.

Definitely pullin for Philly, as much as I hate Pronger.

I'm trying to get over my absolute disgust with Bruin's fans and feel OK with them winning as well.

Love those jersey...

Rooting for the Sharks. Ever since they showed that classy gesture in San Jose for Luc's last NHL game, I have had newfound respect for them. Besides, they're far away enough and not really our "rivals."

You people realize that if the Sharks win the cup, we are the only CA team without a cup?

I can't understand how any Kings' fan can endorse such a thing.

Agreed. I don't know why Kings fans would want to forever be the last California team to win the cup.

Yeah, as obnoxious as all my Detroit buddies are about their team, watching San Jose win the Cup would really be depressing. Then both California teams would have done in 20 years what we havent done in over 40.

I would say ratings would be low in the US but they will be no matter who plays. In Canada if that series happened it would be chaos, the country will shut down.

Well, as a kings fan pulling for the sharx, let me tell ya.

First off, there's the attention and a certain amount of respect for California teams.

Second, we may be last to win the cup, but that just means there will be that much more pressure on owner/management of the kings to win it, and soon!

Lastly, other than Blake, I actually like SJ players.

I don't hate the sharx the way I hate the dux. Can't really explain it just yet.

Low compared to what? Because I think a Pittsburgh/Chicago final would get good ratings by NHL standards.

Ratings in general for the NHL have been pretty good this year. Even on Versus.

I think management as in for a cup as they will be, regardless of who wins the cup this year.

Its about fan pride, and the Sharks winning the cup is a black mark on ours.

The Ducks already won it so it doesn't really matter if SJ gets one as well. Our most hated rival has already laid claim to being the first California team to win one so who gives a **** about being 2nd or 3rd; I just want them to win one at some point.

I don't want Blake,Heatley or Thornton to win but the Detroit Red Wings helped to ruin physical hockey so they must be booed at every turn. I hope SJ runs them out of Joe Louis over the next two games at which time I will go bak to cheering against SJ.

im sorry for rooting for the sharks but I just have to root for someone and my pick are the sharks. Now that the Kings are eliminated i dont have that hyped feeling like "cant wait for school to end! kings game tonight!" And if you dont like my avatar, i can change it back.

Why do you have to root for anyone? Just enjoy the games.
