BLUES TAKING OFFERS FOR KARIYA

The Blues are looking to move Paul Kariya.
The Blues feel Lars Eller is ready for the big time and Kariya is blocking his spot to play with the big club.
PM me with offers.

Dupuis and Bourque available for picks/prospects if anybody needs forward depth.

Edit: I will also start taking offers for veteran warrior Bill Guerin. I no longer plan on trading Chris Kunitz, but if the right offer comes along I'll consider it.

Also, word on the street is that the Penguins have completed two deals that will bring in top-6 forwards. One is a deal for a gritty player who will fit the system perfectly and the other is for a Russian superstar in a boom or bust deal. The Pens may still be in the market for a top-6 winger. More to come tomorrow.

BLUES RE-ACQUIRE STEMPNIAK FROM TORONTO

St. Louis brings back old face in forward Lee Stempniak.

The St. Louis Blues have re-acquired forward Lee Stempniak from the Toronto Mapleleafs.

The Blues sent Stempniak to the Leafs in exchange for forward Alex Steen and defensemen Carlo Colaiacovo last season, and now have re-acquired the forward today.

The Blues sent forward Brad Winchester, prospect Jori Lehtera, and a 3rd round pick in 2010 in exchange for the speedy forward.

"We are pleased to have Lee coming back to St. Louis." Blues GM John Davidson said.

"We had to deal Lee on account that we upgraded in the original deal. We again, upgrade in this deal as well. We are very pleased to have Lee back in St. Louis."

The Devils are considering - considering - trading Johnny Oduya. If you're interested in a very solid defenseman both offensively (5v5) and defensively (all the time), then feel free to inquire.

Jeff Carter has recently received interest and could be moved in the next 24 hours. Make sure to make an offer soon if you want to be in the running. Braydon Coburn continues to receive interest. Also, Simon Gagne nor Ray Emery have not been asked about.

Confirmed: Stempniak for Winchester, 2010 3rd, Joel Lehtera

"We felt we owed it to Lee to send him back to St. Louis since we are still rebuilding. Plus the future assets acquired will be helpful, a high-to-mid 3rd in a deep draft, and a high-risk high-return prospect that has been tearing up SM-Liga."

Sources out of Toronto also say they are close to moving Ponikerovsky. Our other UFAs are still on the block, as well as other players beyond the obvious (Schenn, Monster, Kessel). Kadri will be considered, but the price will obviously be high.

The Penguins have made 2 trades today...

In the first deal, we have acquire Tuomo Ruutu from Carolina in exchange for Ruslan Fedotenko, Luca Caputi, and Casey Pierro Zabotel. Tuomo should fit right in with our aggressive forechecking system and up-tempo style.

The second deal is a major gamble for us. We have sent a 2010 2nd rounder and conditional 1st rounder to Nashville in exchange for Alex Radulov. We may be giving up a lot, but if he ever comes back to the NHL, Alex's skill and momentary cap hit would push our team into elite status.

ALSO: I'm going to start updating the OP.

Confirmed.

After leaving mid-contract to go to Russia, Radulov was never going to play in Nashville again.
