What, you mean moreso than Rafalski (who is becoming quite the even strength liability) and Lebda (who might as well be a forward) combined? Ericsson, being a rookie, paired with arguably the worst defenseman on the team? Does that seem like a recipe for success? Both are offensively-minded, and Ericsson needs someone to mentor him on the ice. Lebda is not the one for the job.
As bad as Rafalski and Lebda are, they are no where close to how bad Ericsson has been.
