Lamoriello boo'd at Hall of Fame game in Toronto?

I am watching this on CBC right now and when they introduced Lamoriello those awful human beings who call themselves leaf fans boo'd him (or at least it sounded like it to me). Is anyone else watching this?

WHAT???

Are you certain? But then again, I wouldn't be surprised, considering the concerted media campaign to marginalize our great franchise by schmucks like Al Strachan, Mark Everson, etc.

I'm resembling my avatar now as I type this. If it's true, it has set me off this evening!!!

They're Luuuing, just like they do in Vancouver for Luongo. In other words they're cheering for him, don't worry.

Really, he's that beloved there? Usually something like that is a term of endearment given for a local player or figure.

I sure hope they were Louuuuuuing.

Oh, O.K., I feel better. I haven't been this angry since game #2 of this season.

Are you saying boo, or boourns?

BOO!!

I was saying boourns!

But no, they didn't boo him. They don't boo the hall of famers, even if they're Habs.

Leafs fans are hockey fans too. Lamoriello is respected pretty much everywhere.

The Luu chant is popular in all North American sports it seems. It's not necessarily a sign of huge affection.

They were probably Louing since there was an "ooo" sound for Robitaille too, and why would they boo Luc?

Well if you didn't see it, "defenitely" is not the best word to use there. I don't think they were booing him, but you never know. They still might be bitter because we played Clemmer in the last game of the season against the Isles a few years back.

I guarantee it was "Lou" and not "boo", however, if someone can prove that's not the case, I'm up for getting a caravan together for a road trip and burning their entire city down.

It's "Lou," not "Boo!"

Much like when we yell "ZUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU-BRUS!"

Or when the older Devs fans used to yell "BRRRRUUUUUUUCCCCCCCCEEEE!" at Driver.

Make sure you guys spare all the Leafs fans in the Toronto suburbs that have jumped ship to Jersey's Team.

They can put a Devils logo in red on their front door so we can "passover" them.

The rest of Toronto?

We're gettin' biblical on their azzes!

Dear God, that's funny. Brilliantly done, sir.

I really hope the Leafs fans were cheering "Louuuuuuuuuuuu!", or else we just might have to go up there and regulate.

They mentionned it at the game in Ottawa last night that Lou was being inducted into the HoF and the fans in Ottawa gave Lou a big round of applause.

Luuuuc always got that reception, from LA onwards, and it always sounded like booing. There's no way to tell if Lou was loued or booed, but it doesn't matter either way. He's respected by the people who know hockey, he's in the Hall of Fame and we're lucky to have him.

Nice to see Fern Flaman there too.
