It happens all the time, it shows a trend of a team or player. Ever hear of random team is 3-9-1 in their last 13 games, why not just say their record for the first half? Why? because it shows a trend for the team, that's why you say it. To quantify how good/bad a team/player has done lately. It's usually started when the awesome/sucking began. BS or not, 42 games is almost a full season for goalies and it shows a serious slide for Price.
