I have had my head scratching moments with this team over the years, but Ivanans getting a shift in the third after falling behind is right up there. If there is an explanation, I would love to hear it and I am being serious. Maybe there is a good reason for it.
Regarding the game, look, it's not there. Chicago is a damn good team playing like a damn good team. The Kings are a damn good team playing like one that forgot to play defense for a period.
And for **** sakes stop playing Ivanans. His intimidating glares are not scaring anyone.
It's never going to happen, Terry Murray is a 1980's style coach who feels the need to play a goon every single game, despite the fact that the most successful teams of this decade have not employed a goon and instead roll 4 solid lines.
Our only hope is to acquire someone like Neal who can actually play.
I am with you though, watching Ivanans play for now his 4th season here is one of the most frustrating aspects of being a Kings fan. I feel absolutely terrible for Brad Richardson, who has shown signs of life this season yet continues to have to play with this god awful slug.
Uh, Chicago is a great team (although we haven't tested their weakest link nearly enough) and Pittsburgh was a good win but they're shorthanded. I think that win has got everyone here a little too cocky in this team so far.
The Kings looked like the better team for two whole periods, up until now. Its apparent that they can take on a team like this, they need just need to play the whole game.
I think teams are starting to figure us out. We have to adjust to counter.
This is just silly. Figure what out? When we are on top of our game, nothing can stop us. The Kings win when they play well. They lose when they don't. We've come a long way this season and the fact that is now happening is exactly how good we are.
