The Official Lou Lamoriello Hall Of Famer - Thanks for saving our franchise - thread.

Tonight he goes into the hockey hall of fame. The best GM in sports, the reason we arent the Nashville Devils or whatever, the reason we have 3 stanley cups.

Thank you Lou, and congrads!!!!!!

Lou is the MAN. This induction is long overdue, but sweet nonetheless. Congrats Lou and thanks for the awesomeness that you have crafted.

The induction is very well deserved for Lou. Not only has he been the driving force behind this successful franchise, he has been an important figure in the world of college hockey. He already has the honour of having the championship trophy of the Hockey East conference named after him, and now he enters immortality in the Hockey Hall of Fame.

Loooooooong overdue. Lou had the creds to have been put in the HOF some time ago, I'd say.

The reason the Devils arent in Nashville is because they somehow won the cup in 95. Anything short of that, even a SCF loss, and they would probably have been gone. But if you're attributing that cup to LL, and saying that's why they stayed, I guess it works.

I've always thought to myself that I hope that Lou writes a tell all book at the end. Just imagine some of things that could come out in it.

Amen. That would be a best seller, without a doubt.

Congratulations Lou on all you have done for our team. It is well overdue that you are in the HOF. One day they will have a special night for you so you are also in the rafters at the rock! Once again thank you.

Congrtulations to Lou, one of the great builders. Always icing a great team, and for having a nack that most don't. Besides Bill Torrey, the best ever. Long over due.

That would be very interesting, but for some reason I have a feeling Lou's vault will stay locked even after he retires. It doesn't seem like his nature to write a tell-all.

They're airing it on the NHL Network, so I'm sure it will surface somewhere, sooner or later.

Now I may be wrong here, my memory is fuzzy and clogged with malted hops and bong resin (love Tommy Boy), and this was 14 years ago, but I swear I remember the move to Nashville talk coming AFTER the Devils won the 95 cup.

Either way, LL is worthy of all accolades

It didn't really come to light until after the Cup, but if my memory serves me correctly - which I was too young an age for either the malted hops nor bong resin, - the rumors came out after we won the Cup that the team considered it, but with the new-found fans from winning the Stanley Cup, the talks disappeared.

That would be the first tell all book to be 500+ pages and tell you absolutely nothing.
