If I'd be a Bruins fan I'd enjoy watching Craig Rivet play tonight....He's arguably their best player

according to the NHL.com gamesheet it's in the 4th OT already. That can't be right, can it?

I have to say in regards to my "Let them Play" thread, that there were non-calls in this OT, which made the game go alot faster and more exciting? Anyone agree?

Phew. That goal was almost poetic justice. They don't call anything for so long, and then they call a pretty marginal one, drawn by Kovalev, and the rest is now history.

There's your Ribeiro karma right there. Kovalev needs to focus on the game and not try to sell penalties to the ref.

The refs arent going to blow a play dead for a broken fingernail. If youre looking to blame someone, blame Kovalev who stopped playing with the puck at his feet then checked his own player!

wow is Kovalev ever dumb.. that was unbelievable how he can just give up on the puck like that. In OT no less.. just sheer stupidity.

That was not a penalty. It was barely a tap, and there is absolutely no way you can argue that any official is going to call that in an overtime in teh playoffs. That call will never happen.

Kovalev cost the Habs the game by acting like a little baby. After Ribeiro's performance he needs to know that they are not calling the play dead after a questionnable injury Furthermore, Kovalev needs to suck it up. If he was actually hurt why the heck did he circle AWAY from the bench?

Stupid, embarassing, and costly play by Kovalev.

This is not because of Kovalev. He was INJURED. Maybe it just seems like a little "tap". I would like to "tip" McGeough's wrist, I'm sure he gonna whistle. Kovalev played two great games and his play was almost perfect.

You didn't expect the refs to blow play dead after what happened with Ribiero (ironic he scored 2 goals tonight) in game 3? When was the last time play was blown dead for something like that? What obvious penalty?

Kovalev didn't go down, he held a part of his body that wasn't even touched and was heading off to the bench.

It's not the ref's fault that Kovalev ran into Souray en route to the bench, causing Souray to cough up the puck leading to a breakaway for Murray. Kovalev has been in this league a long time. He knows better than that, and whaddyaknow, it cost his team the game.

The only thing horrible was Kovalev's reaction!

Even if his hand was broken I would hope you would still prevent a giveaway in that crucial of a situation.

Kovalev & Ribiero

Try to continue to play when you just received a hit on the wrist....

I can't believe it...

Souray did a bad play on the goal too anyways...

Now I wonder if I'll get my game 6 ticket refunded

even if it was a "penealty" a player has to play until there is a wistle. All he needed to do is kick the puck or at least get out of Sourray's way.

ok deal.

I take a stick, slash your hand, hard enuff to break it, then your next reaction is to play the ball(we will do it on concrete, easier for you) and watch you kick the ball out of the way, when it's clearly obvious the ref was stearing at the play when he got slashed.

Since when does a penalty get called on the severity of the injury and if he fall down in agony, I thought yif you use your stick like an axe, that's a slashing penalty.

That is what the Canadiens get for diving and doing theatrics for the refs all night. Kovalev was more interested in selling the slash than finishing the play, and it cost his team the game and probably the series.
