FYI, McClement leads all forwards in even-strength ice with 5:33 according to ESPN's game-tracker. Don't know if this says anything since I can't watch the game (stupid work).

yeah, the broadcasters said that on the first replay. for anyone not watching, it went off an opposing player's skate, EJ was the last one to touch it for the Blues.

Cool, thanks for the recap Cheli! Unfortunately I am following the game on a live scoreboard.

Here's a nugget to chew on. It's been well documented that Andy Murray likes to break up the season in 5 game segments. Anyone find it odd that on the 16th game of the season the team suddenly opens up for 4 goals in the 1st?

so he's decided to start winning games now that we can truly appreciate what that feels like.

About time Boyes freaking broke out. I am seriously getting slammed in the HF Mods league cause I went Blues heavy.

Maybe now we snap out of this funk and can start playing games like we are capable of. Kariya actually looks like he cares and is tryin some lil fancy moves...boyes is hitting the net...everyone seems so much more confident and into the game. It's fun to watch again!

Hopefully this will turn this team around. They need to put together a win streak.

Good to see the Blues break out.. Congrats to Perron, he's a hell of a player.. Is Kariya done with the Blues? 6 goals and hes not on the sheet.. Nuts

Seems like there's at least one game a year that isn't televised and ends up being awesome. 3 fights, Perron a hat trick, sweet to watch I bet. Perron is quickly becoming one of my favorite Blues, kid is sick.

Congrats on the big win, good to see you guys break out offensively, but I have to ask like everyone - what's up with Kariya?

How come Murray has taken him off the PP and now wants to turn him into Kris Draper all of a sudden?

6 goals and he doesn't see the scoresheet.. he certainly looked good out there, so is this just a message he's sending, or has Perron really taken over the #1 LW role on your team?

Thanks!

So.... that was pretty cool. Let's try that scoring thing more often from now on.

It's more of Murray sending a message than anything else. Kariya is the highest paid player on the team and is supposed to be one of the go-to guys on offense, yet his play over the last few weeks has been rather flat, to say the least. Murray puts struggling players with the grinders as a motivational tool. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
