I'm really impressed with what Metro is bringing to the team. Not only his swift hands and his calming, veteran presence, but his positive attitude.
I believe he has a very good influence for the young players.
I remember chuckling on the day we picked him.

I think the leave of Koivu and Kovalev really opened the door for Metro to be a vet-leader. Its kinda hard to go into a locker room half way through the season and expect to show the team your vet-leadership with two guys like Kovalev and Koivu..
With a bunch of new guys, Metros door opens up to be a vet in the room. It makes sense why he feels so much at home..
I hope we sign him in the off-season, regardless if this guys point production is lowered.
