Probably O'Marra and Reddox, possibly Potulny

I dont see them taking Comrie out but if he actually is still feeling under the weather then possibly but it seemed like he was starting to feel better last game just by wathcing his play

Hopefully Hemmer and Horc can play, yesterday they showed Hemmer and Horc carrying tons of baggage on both shoulders so theyre probably feeling alot better, they might have just been taking a precaution today by not playing them since Buffalo is a much better team and they mightve thought they could beat Ottawa without them but who really knows I guess

I hope we see at least one of Horcoff or Hemsky playing tomorrow since O'Marra didnt really do anything for me and we could really use these guys against Buffalo

Not sure about the other guys, but I've noticed every time I've picked him to score, he comes up with a whale of a game, and we're going to need it from him tomorrow

That and I really do want him to get a goal. He deserves it, and I'm sure the celebration will be awesome after a 130+ game drought

To O'Marra's defense...he didn't get to the arena until about 15 minutes before the game started. He missed the pre-game warmup, the practices with the team, etc. They said his plane landed at 6:30, and the puck was dropped at 7:30. I'd give him one more game to see what he's got.

Thats true enough but Id still prefer having Hemmer or Horc over him tomorrow

Yes, I would too. But I'm not sure if I'd be as quick to pull him out. Maybe there is a reason Comrie played so little in the 3rd. Maybe it would be more beneficial to pull him out of the lineup.

Stauffer mentioned he was also greeted with a bag skate in the morning as well before he got called up.

Penner gets a hatty, don't ask me why, I just have this feeling.

Oilers need the same level of energy, with way less turnovers, and way more finish. Other than that, could be a very long night. Khabby will be worked, I definitely don't think the Oilers will be outshooting Buffalo tonight. I really wish the Oilers could handle the puck in their own end without treating it like its a grenade. Vish was absolutely horrible on Ottawa's first goal last night. Get the win boys, we really do owe Buffalo a huge shelacking at home. Of course, easier said than done.

A 'hatty' as you call it would put Penner within the top three for scoring, and close to that for points.

Penner with a 'hatty' and 2 assists.

Even with this team returning to form (form=status quo=a sub .500 hockey team), Penner remains a beast. I hope he can keep this up throughout the season.

p.s. Maybe when the Oil pulls out of Buffalo they will be down one defense-man (Gilbert) and up one forward (Stafford).

Swap Roy and Connolly and those are accurate. Ruff made the switch at practice on Monday. You'll remember Vanek-Connolly-Staff had a monster game as a line against the Oil last season.

Strongly Agree, he's one of the least talked about defenseman when it comes to Hedman, Erik Johnson, Doughty etc. but he could very well end up being as good as any of them.
As for the game, i'm worried that the Oilers might be gassed after a strong effort last night so again just like the last 2 games, i'm keeping the expectations low and just hope that they exceed them....... Buffalo is prone to defensive lapses so i think we can definitely score on them, here's to at least a great effort tonight and hopefully a win against the Buffaslugs

Not expecting a win. As long as we're not embarrassed out there and if we can atleast play with some fire and look like the system is finally sinking in, I'll be quite pleased.

That said Rin, O'Marra is clearly here only as a last resort. It's nice for him to get some NHL time in but not at the expense of the team if there are enough guys healthy.

Hemsky, Horcoff, and Souray on the ice for the optional skate. No word if any of them are go for tonight. I'd probably say that Horcoff is the most likely to go of any of them.

Flip Roy and Connolly to start tonight, per various media outlets in WNY.

That is awesome! Shelly's return will be a huge boost.

If Penner puts up a few points tonight (and Nash doesn't) he could move into second in the scoring race. Unbelievable.
