Gosh.. this is gonna be a tough one for the Oilers. I'm just hoping a combination of youthful exuberance and rusty legs for Buffalo allow the Oilers a quick start.

Maybe they can get up a couple and then hold on for dear life!

I'm gonna say 3-2 Oilers.

Blah! O'Marra staying with Comrie and Brule. Stupid! Him and Cogliano should switch places... Listen to me Quinn!

This is all if Hemmer doesn't play.

Switch Roy and Connolly.

Roy has been centering a line with Clarke MacArthur and Jason Pominville this week in practice, The Buffalo News reports.

Recommendation: This new line should stick for Wednesday's game against the Oilers. The Sabres are in their first rut of the season, losing two consecutive games, and Coach Lindy Ruff is hopeful that the line change will put the spark back into their game. While Roy may not be alongside Thomas Vanek anymore, don't underestimate the talent of MacArthur and Pominville who lead the team's wingers in scoring this season.

Well, perfect timing for them. No team in the league will pull them out of their rut like the Oilers can.

With Souray, and Horc, and Hemmer out of the line up, it's hard to believe that the Oilers can at least remain as competitive as they have in the last 2 games. This Oiler team will start to roll again with a healthy roster.

4-3 Oilers!

I look at it differently. I think having Horcoff and Hemsky out is the reason they are competitive. The only guy we're really missing is The Big Sexy Man-Beast, Sheldon Souray.

Edler, Gorges, Hannan, Keith, Myers, Schenn, Weber and Souray. Tough to find a WHL club who has pumped out better defensive talent than that in recent times.

Yeah no kidding, I am just glad I live in the valley to take advantage of it.

Don't look now but the defending RBC Champion Vernon Vipers are currently 22-1-0 on the season. Nothing to do with what we are talking about, but I just had to brag about their current season.

I would be okay with that. Mostly cause I wanna see what O'Marra can bring to the table as a center.

You could make a case against Horcoff based on his play this season, as he has struggled in the games that he's played, but I'm confident that he'll come around when he's back and healthy and he'll help this team into playoff contention. Hemmer and Horcoff have consistently been among the top point producers on this team for many seasons. Hemsky has 16 points in 15 games and is +6 on the season, despite having his worst start in years. I'd say that most teams miss ppg players, even the Oilers. So, yeah, I guess we look at it differently.

That's awesome the Hemmer is back in the lineup. Now we are just missing Souray(especially) and Horcoff (also Stone, Jacques, Pouliot and Nilsson but I am not fond of the last 2).

I am not expecting a win today but hopefully Khabby can have an outstanding game and steal us a point or two.
