So I'm not sure why you guys are so hostile to that site. Looks pretty decent to me, although yes, it isn't 100% accurate. Line-ups change pretty frequently, as we all know, and for that site to keep up to date on all 30 teams would be a pretty impressive feat.

This is the first time I've actually seen this site though, so I have no idea how horribly inaccurate it is on most days, but it's forward lines are more accurate than the forward lines in this GDT.

Edit: Actually I see that even the OP has the incorrect (old) d-pairings up as well too.

Yesterday's pairings changed to:

Grebeshkov - Staios
Smid - Visnovsky
Strudwick - Gilbert

Some people didn't order the PPV!

Btw, no insult meant to the OP for the inaccurate line-ups for yesterday. I know it's hard to keep up to current line-ups. Just commenting to those who seem to be picking apart what looks to be a decent site, to me. Fantastic GDT.
Looking at my lineup with new eyes today, I can't believe I didn't realize how off they were. For the forward lines I copy/pasted from last nights GDT when someone had asked what they looked like. I don't think they were updated once the puck actually dropped.

As for the defence, I even knew that they are what you have not what I had. I must have copy/pasted those from a super old GDT or something. Thanks for the heads up!

If he plays, I believe the lines will look like so, for forwards:

Penner-Gagner-Hemsky
Comrie-Brule-O'Sullivan
Reddox-Cogliano-Pisani
Moreau-Potulny-Stortini

If he doesn't play, they should be:

Penner – Gagner – O’Sullivan
Comrie – Brule – O’Marra
Reddox – Cogliano – Pisani
Moreau – Potulny – Stortini

(based on yesterday's real lines)
Thank you again, I fixed the lines and will be updating them later if Hemsky is in.

I might have to put some vcash down on this one. Not sure if I like the back to back situation though if the team is fighting the flu.....it kicks the crap out of ya!

EDIT: Put 2000 vCash down....GO OILERS!

The second period is going to be a nail bitter I think. Not only is that the period in which we allow the most shots against and goals, it is also the period Buffalo shoots the most in.

The first is our good period, we will need to come out and score enough to have the lead going into the 3rd. The Oilers are 2nd in the league in 1st period goals with 21. When the Oilers lead after one period they have not lost in regulation (4-0-2) and are 5-0-1 when leading after two.

Special teams will also be huge tonight. On the road we have the 3rd best PP and 8th best PK. Those will be facing the 7th best home PP and 14th best PK. Both teams have allowed 2 short handed goals and have yet to score a shorty of their own.

Time for some Buffalo/Edmonton history:
- This is the only game of the season between the Sabres and Oilers.
- This is the 63rd meeting all-time; Edmonton leads the all-time series 34-18-10.
- The Sabres are 11-13-7 all-time at home vs. Edmonton and 2-5-3 only in their last 10 at home vs. us.

Fun Facts:
  • We have already lost 91 man games to injury this season, and you can add another 7 or 8 tonight depending on if Hemsky is in or not.
  • The Oilers have now sold out 165 straight games at Rexall Place. The streak started Nov. 29/05.
  • Hemsky is a hattrick away from 100 career goals.
  • Comrie has 11 points in 18 games VS Buffalo.

Effort. Effort. Effort.

Hopefully Hemsky learned something about how to run a powerplay while he was out.

It seems like this year he is focussed too much on shooting, and doing it poorly. Everytime he tries to come in from the halfboards and shoot, the shot is blocked.

I have a bad feeling about this game. Ryan Miller is back and the Oilers, with so many bodies out and playing the third game in four days ON THE ROAD, are not going to have the energy to really press him. 4-1 Sabres

The only plus is Smid scores, the beginning of a 64 game scoring streak!

With trade winds swirling, all eyes are on Rin () to see what kind of GDT performance will come about tonight...

He kills most powerplays all by himself by hanging onto the puck for far too long, killing 30+ seconds and then, like you said, making poor shot decisions. Bang, another 30 seconds gets shaved off while the team retrieves it.

The Sabres are getting some shots, but largely from the outside.
