**** Brian Burke.

Who cares about this dork and the idiocies like these that reinforce the idea he's a fool?

Seriously? Burke bothers you THAT much?

He said it jokingly. Even I got a laugh when I heard it on my way home from work cause it's true.

He should be more concerned with the team he assembled, not about letting Leafs fans boo Gainey.

Fact is, he traded the farm to get a player that is very dynamic but is probably not enough to get his team in the playoffs. IMO, if the Leafs don't make the playoffs, immediately the Bruins have to be considered the winners in the trade. The Leafs look equally if not more horrible then us, and outside of Kessel to start the season they have yet to have to deal with the injury bug... Imagine if Kaberle went down ALA Markov?

I'm more concerned about your drinking problem. Though I'm impressed you managed to spell some words correctly even in your inebriated state.

Oh trust me so will I... I have been hearing it constantly from Leafs fans since they strung together a bunch of loser points and 2 wins in a row that my team is looking bad. I suppose losing 5-2 to Minnesota( worst team in the West) is looking good.

Everytime they mention to me how bad our team currently looks I just say "Yeah, we do look bad... You have to consider we have alot of injuries, including our best player... But if your going to look at the bright side, atleast we still own the rights to our first round draft pick if he keep playing this bad".

Usually they go from smiling to frown.

Believe me, he would TALK his way out of that walk, even though 95% of the hockey world would be very pleased if he did take the walk. But then the governors board wouldn't have a mascot anymore.

As Allan Walsh would say, it was a "tongue in cheek" comment

I think it's a great idea. Toronto can watch who the Leafs COULD'VE drafted and then watch them pick a scrub in the 3rd round!
