Voted Lubo yesterday. Second favorite is Souray in a landslide for me. Souray would easily be my favorite if he would play more often. Speaking of Lubo, he sure had a rough time last night. I was hoping to win that so Lubo wouldn't feel so bad.

I bet Lubo has a huge game in Buffalo tonight.

I love that one journal headline: "Sens trounce Oilers in SO"

Like seriously it makes it sound like the sens walked all over the Oilers. Only way I can see this making sense is if he is referring to the shootout attempts where the Ottawa shooters actually made JDD move around to make a save whereas the Oilers attempts were rather pathetic. Other than that, that is a pretty poor headline on a paper.

I actually see some similarities between hers and Penners game. Both extremely hard working. Then when it comes to her polls, they are about as creative as Penners shootout attempt.

A few possible poll questions in case you're running low on ideas m'lady.

"Who will return to action first?" --> List current injured players

"Who will be the last to return to action?" --> List current injured players

And when Souray gets back into action (Brownlee speculating Atlanta ), "How many games till Souray bombs one home?"

TEAM 1260 reporting that Horcoff and Hemsky are on the ice right now for the morning skate. Hemsky didn't make the initial trip with the team to start the road trip. Since he has now joined them I would expect him to maybe not play tonight but probably return in Atlanta. Horcoff as well.

Souray is my favourite player on this team with Hemmer, but Lubo isn't far behind. Despite Grebeshkov and Gilbert's struggles I still really like our group of defensemen, and our depth of d-man prospects. It's the biggest strength of this organization at the moment, IMO.

The writers do not create the headline.

Ouch man.... Ouch... Excuse me while I cry over here in the corner for a minute...

Seriously though, this is sports, I don't look at players the way i would look at men from across a crowded room. My love for the players is due to their talents, skills and efforts.

2nd favourite, Smid. In the interests of full disclosure I should say I have a Staios jersey. I got it in 03-04 because I wanted someone different (at that time) from the usual Smyth/Smith/Hemsky/Laraque. I still think he's a great guy but boy it pains me to watch him sometimes. I'm much happier when he's allowed to be a 5th or 6th D and we can all just smile about him blocking pucks with his face again instead of tearing our hair out at the constant firing it around the boards and not out.

It's a good thing I never said it was the writer. I explicitily was tearing into the paper itself, never called out any writer.

Favourite defenders
Smid > Vis > Souray > Grebs

Not to say that Smid's the best, but he's definitely my favourite. Awesome attitude, and he knows his role and plays it well.
