Like seriously it makes it sound like the sens walked all over the Oilers. Only way I can see this making sense is if he is referring to the shootout attempts where the Ottawa shooters actually made JDD move around to make a save whereas the Oilers attempts were rather pathetic. Other than that, that is a pretty poor headline on a paper.
When you go into the article, it actually reads "Oilers Lose to Sens in Shootout".

I'm sure if Smid aimed at the glass more, he would shatter glass as well right? Also, didn't Staios win the slapshot contest at last year's skills competition?

Ya I know I read it at work as we have the paper sitting in the lunch room. But still that is one of the first headlines you see on the front of the paper. Seems excessive to me.

My memory says it was Penner.

Souray won it... he broke the NHL record (unofficially, of course).

Staios>Lubo? I'd love to hear that explanation. Not questioning Staios' character but as a D-man his best days are far behind him imo.

For me:
Visnovsky > Smid > Souray > Grebs > Gilbert. After that it's Chorney, Peckham, Staios all in a bunch.

Visnovsky is our best overall defenceman, rarely make mistakes and can really play the offensive game well. Smid is improving daily defensively and is already one of our top 3 defensive defencemen. Souray would be even with Smid if he wasn't hurt so often...hard to really like a guy when he's watching the game.

Yeah, I don't think everybody realizes that. But you have to admit every once in a while you have to wonder if the copy editor actually read the story before writing the headline.
