Nice job Sammy

Let me be the 1st to throw out the tally of 4 - 2 Jackets!! Contested to the end, when Nash caps his hat trick w/ an empty netter!!!

Detroit may be beat up, but that roster still looks pretty good.. please Jackets.. hit anything that moves.

Thanks, Sam.

If it hit 11:00, I was going to try and put together a GDT, and I don't have the faintest clue - it would not have been pretty. You saved us all.

Just as Detroit is a big question mark so far, really don't know what to think of this game. The DeadThings with a lot of injuries is good new for us, but they haven't built a quality team without depth, so we can't sit back and count on that. The boys have to come out and skate a playoff type game.

We have won so far this year without playing our best hockey. Time to step it up a notch.

Nice GDT. I'm disappointed, I will miss this game tonight. I haven't missed a home game in a few years.

Go Jackets! As Hitchcock said, it's time to make those Red Wings bleed.

Remember, kids: octopus on the ice - bad; trash on the ice - good.

04-23-09 NEVAR FORGET!!!1

Eh, that was too easy. Detroit should be upset about their 5-1 loss to Toronto a few days ago. Jokes aside, Columbus should be upset about the playoffs last year (St. Louis took it to Vancouver last night.). This probably means that it's going to be a boring, uninspired game.

I've never been to a Detroit game before so I'm kinda anxious because I don't know what to expect

Anyway, I'll be there; I'm hoping the boys will be motivated by this being a milestone in Hitch's career as well as killing the Wangs for our quick playoff exit. Also, I'd like to walk home without being harassed by Wang "fans" if we lose.

I'll be there to make sure my seat is a Jacket one. Can't wait for the game

Red Wings fan checklist.

-Wake up from gunfire outside of abandoned house where they currently live.
-Go to brush teeth, but decide not to when you find the sink gushing out brown water.
-Skip shower out of fear of more brown water. Gather Red Wings gear. Put on misspelled Zetterberg jersey that actually reads "Zetturburg". Damn you eBay!
-Go to leave front door of house. Being careful not to slam door, because the house may collapse.
-Meet friend outside of Starbucks dumpster to find and eat breakfast.
-Hitchhike way to Columbus.
-Meet with fellow Wings fans in Columbus. Talk about how you have definitely been a Wings fan your whole life. Hope no one actually presses this issue because they might find out you're a fraud.
-Watch Jimmy Howard crap the bed. Hang head in shame.
-Return to Detroit to enjoy your wonderful hometown.

Oh my. LMAO. I don't care who you are, that's funny.

Time to step it up tonight, boys. No score prediction - I just don't know.

- Write blog entry about how you enjoyed your trip to such a nice town and get flayed by message-board posters.

The DSL "criticality meter" only has one setting, so I'd say this is a critical game.

Gosh we have been on a hiatus from CBJ hockey! I will be in attendance tonight. I'm shooting for The Lantern, so I will post some pics on here later tonight. I think that they're doing some sort of veteran recognition tonight too which is really great. Go Jackets!

Another nail biter: 2-1

This is a perfect setup for a Jacket's loss. Poor record, plenty of injuries and the wings are playing their backup goalie.

I don't really like Columbus either, but for wildly different reasons. The bolded one was the best though... all kidding aside, we all know that one's true

EDIT: Anywho, I have to take the GRE tomorrow, so here's hoping the Jackets can counteract my own personal misery!

I doubt many in the stands or in the CBJ locker room have forgotton the 2009 playoff-or sweepoff. The Jackets should win a close contest based on their improved PP, team speed and Sammy Phalsson.

So, we're starting a tradition of throwing Wings Fans on the ice now?

1. Don't let the coach down tonight.
2. Hit them early and often.

Veteran's Day and Hitch's 1000th game on the same day, he said this will be special for him. Hope the team doesn't let him down.

This could be good if it means the Jackets have chased Howard.

Thank you

In Flanders Fields

by John McCrae, May 1915

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.
