Depressing Facts to Dwell In:
- Carolina hasn't won a game since October 9.
- Carolina has allowed the second most goals in the league while scoring the fewest. As our record shows, that combination is typically not a recipe for success
- Only one player on our team (Jussi Jokinen) has broken double digits for points. The Kings have 5 players with as many or more assists alone, and 7 players with more points (not to mention Handzus and Simmonds who each have 9 points)
- Paul Maurice still has his job
Game starts at 7 PM, so bring the paper bags to put over your heads and cheer on the good guys!

Quick is out, huh? So that's another backup goalie for the Canes to get stoned by.
Pitkanen out means the 4 best players on the team are out and the 5th is playing hurt. Lovely. I'm going with a 7-0 win, with Jack Johnson scoring 4 goals, Justin Williams has a post-hat trick and Anze Kopitar has 6 points.
That's what the last five or so teams we played have said, but I think they underestimated just how incredibly terrible this team is.
It's interesting how every pundit seems to think we will turn it around. Stan Fischler co-hosting NHL Live today and said the same thing. Speaking of Fischler, that man is incredibly entertaining. I would tune in to NHL Live every day if he was always on there; he is filled with interesting stories and speaks his mind with no reservations (I hope Tyler Arnason wasn't listening this morning).
