Seriously Tripp...
I was more annoyed at the question about whether Williams joked with Smyth about winning the Cup.

Seriously? Everyone with half a brain cell knows you don't joke about that, especially to your teammate.

Speaking of our AHL squad, has anybody noticed the French-Canadian influence on our prospect pool recently? Pistilli, Chaput, Samson, Paradis, Blanchard, etc.?

We really seem to be hitting the Q pretty hard recently.

And there's Jonathan Paiement, who is the 5th of our French Connection here in Albany.

I wonder if it has anything to do with the Q being perceived as a weaker league, and us trying to pick up guys who might draw less attention because they play against supposedly worse competition.

Total guess though.

Oh, and I guess Ruutu is tired of loosing games.

Silly Kings, we suck, but we are still an NHL squad... you can't let it go and pocket 2 points by playing first 25 minutes only

I have to wonder, does this team want to win?

So they've given up 3 goals to guys who have had a defender right on top of them. Perhaps they should learn the timeless art of the stick lift as opposed to the let the player keep his stick on the ice and put the puck in the net. That is if they would like to win games. If not, I say continue spectating.

This truly is a team for the record books. Manny Legace is one game in, and he's already a part of franchise history.

my thoughts, not that anyone cares:
- sutter should be on the top line and get as much ice time as possible.
- when corvo freelances, his teammates stand around 'looking around like what's he doing now?'
- corvo needs to work on hitting the net with a shot.
- i don't think wallin is as bad as everyone else does.
- after getting his 'big' contract, larose has been virtually invisible and doesn't seem to have the same drive.
- eric cole's best days are behind him.
- i wish everyone on the canes brought the same energy that walker brings every night.
- rodney's comment at the end of the first about everyone else out there (on the kings) seemingly being 6'4" and 220 doesnt sound anything like the canes roster up front. we have too many waterbugs and not enough muscle up front.
- nice to see roots tonight.

We might actually be the worst team in NHL history... I can't believe JR let us field this old as hell team... I complained about our off season, knew we'd struggle to get a playoff spot... But, even this old ass team is worse than I thought.. I'll be surprised if we get more than 55 points

Aaron Ward's lack of defensive awareness is really astounding to me for someone who used to be such a good stay at home defenseman. Perhaps Chara spoiled him last year and now he's forever ruined? Andrew Alberts is just a slight downgrade from the Norris trophy winner.

How different would our backend look if we would have taken on castoffs Kyle Quincey and Randy Jones?

Of course that would require scouts and JR trusting them to acquire someone he wasnt already familiar with.

Trip is blind. No wonder he couldn't make the NHL as a goalie. An elbow that didn't even come near making contact.
