Undo / Change something done by the CH in the last year

Title is self explanatory... There's a lot of smart people around here (some not so much) I'm wondering what you would do / would have done differently in the past year.

Let me remind you, before saying anything about the Gomez trade that had it not been for Gomez being traded here we probably wouldn't have acquired Cammalleri or Gionta, because he was used as a sort of honey to attract FA's.

I would have re-signed Saku Koivu, because he's put so much into this team and this city and he deserved to leave on his own terms.

Would have resigned Alex Tanguay. He would look good for 2.5mill besides Plekanec and Cammalleri.

Only thing that I would change because hindsight is 20/20
Not make the Tanguay trade, and draft Nemisz instead.

Other than that, possibly can Carbonneau at a much earlier date, say like Dec 24th

I would've beat Boston, then gone on to win the Cup.

Gomez is awesome I would make that trade any day, and I like every off season signing. I would've kept Tanguay or Lang.

Actually, I would've healthy scratch Markov in the first game of the year.

No brainer...

undo the gomez trade.

by the way, the notion that Cammalleri wouldn't be here without Gomez is WAY overblown. He (cammy) is known for being media-saavy, he made the obvious comment once he signed here.

Listen to what he said last season and prior to signing, and some of the other comments that have come out since, and it's pretty clear that he was
A- going to the biggest pay day
B- going to a larger market

those two factors, more than anything else, are what landed him in montreal.

Resign Koivu on the cheap, I wouldn't make the bloated Gomez trade. I would have went after Gaborik.

Yeah seriously, basically we had the same team as the 07-08 wonder-team, PLUS Tanguay and Lang, we were pretty much guaranteed the cup, until real life happened.

Gomez trade - brutal.

I thought Gainey was a patient man? That was pure desperation. Then he proceeded to compile the most undersized overpayed team out there. And adding some big slow non physical D does NOTHING to offset the severe lack of size on the top lines.

Undo the Gomez trade!

Can I have some other re-dos as well?
Sign Koivu...
Thrown the motherload at Gaborik or even Havlat instead of Gionta (although I like Gio)...
NOT sign Hall Gill
Not sign MAB

Did you even read what I said about the Gomez trade? No one seems to understand this. Ignoring facts makes it easier to complain about the trade though doesn't it?

Easily Gomez trade. He is marginal upgrade over Koivu at almost the double the cost.

If he is the best you can do in upgrade mode, you do nothing. Oddly enough thats what BG usually does.

I wouldn't undo the Gomez trade. I always liked him and even though he may be overpaid (not like he's the only one in the NHL) believe he can bring a lot to this team. And so far we have the upper hand in the trade, Gomez is playing good, Pyatt is playing good. While Higgins has 4pts, McDonagh is nowhere near the NHL and Valetenko is even further.

Only thing I would undo is Price carving up Markov.

I would have pulled the plug on the team at the trade deadline last year instead of waiting until after the season was over. It's not realistic because of the expectations around the centennial season, but it was pretty clear which way the team was headed.

Does RDS hiring Brunet last year count?

Easy one : Don't let the kids all alone in the city being guided by some mobs. This wouldve helped a ton last season.

I would have traded for Lecavalier instead of Gomez.
