Alfie is leading our team in points and assists. Quite simply, he is our leader. If the sens win this game, alfie is going to factor into it.
Ray Emery

Quote:
Ray Emery: We all know he has talent, the question is his mental focus. If emery can play at his best, well, we`re screwed. If Emery is just average, however, we have a very good chance at winning. Look for emery to try to step up against the team that bought him out and sent him to Russia, and dont be surprised if he steals one here.

I shall be in attendance for this one, about 20 rows from behind the net. If you see an ugly dude, but with nice hair, waving a Sens flag w/ a Volchenkov jersey, that shall be me!

Pregame festivities start at 12pm sharp for me, as I have the entire day off.

I don't know why but I really like Ray Emery. Its too bad what happened here with him but I'll always have fond memories of him in a Sens uni, particularly him slashing Lapierre in the face, his fight with Biron and Peters and of course the run to the finals.

Philadelphia definitely has one of the more exciting rosters the NHL has to offer. I think the only way for the Sens to beat Philly on most nights is for Leclaire to out duel Emery. A win would be nice but at this point I just want to see the team evenly match the Flyers in play and intensity. I'd even settle for a good old line brawl too or just a cheap shot on the king himself, Chris Pronger.

You can bet on Neil being a major factor in this game. It remains to be seen whether it will be positive or negative.

Spezza vs. Richards and Fisher vs. Carter will be fun match ups to watch.

I still haven't figured out if I'm going to be able to watch this game at all as I have class till 8 and plans to attend the RAA show later on, so detailed observations from you guys would be much appreciated!

I already skipped this class to go to the home opener and the Kings of Leon show so I think I better go to this one... If it was a home game it would be a different story. Its nice to have an iPhone though because I can track the game.

A win here would do wonders for our standings stability. We could either hang on to 6th or fall to 11th pretty damn quick.

I am soooo pumped for this game. I love watching Emery, Carter, and Richards. Hopefully the Sens can pick up the offense. Kovy, I'm looking at you -- pick this game.

P.S. You too, Coco. We need more thump and jam from you.

Yeah, it's not nice, legal, or acceptable to tease our ball sacks with this info.
Please confirm the top two lines.

How are the fans in philly towards opposing team's fans? Are they as bad as buffalo?

If we take penalties in this game, they will eat us alive. Philadelphia can score a lot of goals especially on the PP with the personnel they have.

If we don't allow a PP goal tonight, we have a chance.

More importantly, Philly is right behind us in PIMs/game. Is this the game where we finally get a power play?

Good Gdt, you used the marquee tool

I dont like this game one bit, phili is a great team. Emery wants to prove the sens wrong.

4-1 Loss.

Sorry....

I call shenanigans on those lines.

Here are the Wednesday practice lines from TSN Ice Chips and http://twitter.com/NHL_Sens

Michalek - Spezza - Winchester
Cheechoo - Fisher - Kovalev
Foligno - Regin - Shannon
Ruutu - Kelly - Neil/Donovan

Alfie took the day off, but he'll probably slide into Winchester's spot

last time when they put cheechoo on the second line, they put him on the right side didn't they? I hope they do put Kovalev on the right side cause he seems to sulk, or just play bad, or probably a bit of both if he's not in his proper spot.

Hello Sens fans!

I am anxiously awaiting this game. The Flyers havent played since Saturday. Our schedule is pretty horrible. So many off days then long roadtrips with lots of games in short spans of time. I would love to punch whoever came up with the schedule.

I'm heading to this game, so I'm hoping the Flyers play well after 4 days rest. They usually suck after a long break, so IDK what to expect.

I can't speak for Buffalo fans (they have fans? ) but Philly is not exactly a friendly place. If you wear your jersey, and by all means you should, keep a low profile and dont be loud. The entire building doing the ***hole chant is common. Look on the bright side, no matter how bad the fans treat you, some kid in a Crosby jersey has probably been treated worse.

The Flyers live and die by the PP and PK, so a team that is able to stay out of the box has a good chance of winning. Then again, we can score on the PK, so we are always a threat.
