As our favourite quote machine Jacques Martin used to say: "Special teams are key"

My favorite photoshop poster whipped this up in the offseason, but the original was Emery's head on Biron's body.
This is the new version with Emery's pads and body put in.
You guys like?

We'd like it more if you had Heatley in there instead. Maybe you can find him after he got rocked by Dion not too long ago.

Haha thats amazing.
I've always been a big Emery fan. Too bad he kicked him self off the team.
Its nice to see he wasn't just a one season hit as many people suggested.

Hilarious. Although Emery would never lay a hand on Alfie.

Curious about this Matt Carkner guy, is he a fixture in the lineup? Or just a placeholder for an injured player?

Fixture now. He brings some nice grit along the blue line, and hes a very smart player. He rarely, if ever, makes dumb passes and surprisingly his passes are very accurate and tape to tape. He mostly makes the smart, safe plays and is a good stay at home D guy, my fave type. Personally, I love him and want to have his babies.
Knocks against him are the slow foot speed pretty much. I hope he's up with us all year and I wouldnt see why not.
edit: Shelby township, nice. Born near Port Huron, although I lived most of my life in Rochester Hills. Heading back to MI next week to visit family.

He's here to stay. Certainly will never be a top-4 but has proven himself to be reliable as a 5th-6th d-man.....as a 28 year-old "rookie".

Emery will try to go out there and rob everyone. But remember that Spezza and company knows his weaknesses.

You can describe him as a mini-pronger without any of the Offense. Has some good size and nastiness. He's pretty good in his own zone.
The only time he seems to look bad is when he's covering his partner's comedy of errors (see the Picard is Brutal thread).

Sens win 1-0 in the shootout though.
I don't understand what Ray would have to prove to the Ottawa management. Prove that they shouldn't have bought him out?

We lost to Gerber and the leafs last year after a whole year of knowing his weaknesses

I now expect some major drunken flag waiving from you on TSN when the Sens score.
Thanks for not deceiving me.

Oh its happening, its a white Sens flag with the old logo, and will be sporting a red new style Volchenkov jersey. Its raining out so luckily its a RBK edge authentique so the rain drops will slide RIGHT off, and it will also increase my sprinting speed by 30% in case anyone wants to attack me.

Yes, because 1 good performance is going to cause Bryan Murray to start kicking himself. Emery was put through waivers, nobody wanted a lick. The only person he has to prove anything to is himself.

Hopefully the TSN cameras will also be around to document that as well.
