The cost would be expensive though. I'm thinking something like Raymond, Ellington and two 1sts (similar to the Pronger deal)
I think Vancouver would have to unload some cap space, even at the deadline. With Anaheim probably also wanting to fill a hole on the backend, Bieksa would make much more sense to be involved. I could see something like Raymond, Bieksa, pick be enough, if Murph decides to deal him. On a slightly OT note, I would love for that to happen, as Raymond is my buddy's cousin, and him on the Ducks would just be awesome(especially since that buddy, like most of my friends, hates the Ducks).

He's a great player. I'd love to have him in Pittsburgh, but there's just no way. Salary Cap for one thing. Also, Letang, Goligoski & Gonchar already take care of any need for a puck moving D-Man. Nieds is better than all of them, but he isn't really a need. Pens need a multi-team, multi-player deal that lands them a couple of decent scoring wingers, 1 for Sid & 1 for Geno.

Because of Dallas' money situation, there's really no deal that would work with established players. So it's gotta be picks or prospects.

As a CO fan, I'd like to see him with Duchene still. He's got the speed and finishing ability Duchene needs with him. What about Ryan Stoa or Tyson Barrie for Brunnstrom? What kind of pick would it take?

Is his brother not back in NJ? Maybe Nieds to Jersey to end his career? One last kick at a Cup with them? As for Brunnstrom, overrated and not worth much IMO.

I understand the "baggage" that SK is supposed to be carrying, but you are getting a player who's two years younger and has already put up similar points as Brunnstrom. I think a change of scenery may be what SK needs.

Yeah, SK will rot in the minors or play in the bottom 6 on Dallas.

I thought the Pens were higher on Caputi.

I'd probably make this deal, though I still don't think we've seen the best Fabian has to offer.

The man has one goal this season. He is no better than Fedotenko.

I wouldn't even give up a second rounder for him.

Fair enough. It's not like we're asking for Neal, Brunnstrom has one goal. Not sure what you expect to get for him.

He chipped in with 17 goals in a 2/3 season, I would guess that they expected 20 goals or so this year. Problem is he's not getting minutes, and maybe he is not earning it either. Dallas has a very solid top6 imo.

while i dont think it iwll happen as the ducks will get a boatload if he is moved imo. the flyers have always pursued him. i owuld also think the ducks will let him pick his spot to go to if he is moved. with pronger already in place, who knows. flyers could start with cobrun and work from there i suppose.

Gotta give to get, and like you say, I don't think we've seen the best Fabian has to offer. We like Caputi plenty, but Brunnstrom could come in and play top 6 minutes now on the Pens while still boasting a nice upside.

Brunnstrom wasn't playing with Malkin either. So he's had a slow start in his sophomore year...buy low.
