OilGagner's New and Improved Fantasy League #2 (PHX, FLA, NAS Available)

As most of you know my last Fantasy Draft here was not a success with me in charge, mainly because I was too busy and wasn't motivated to fix the many mistakes that I had made throughout the draft, but I did really enjoy running a Fantasy League so i'd like another chance to redeem myself. Because one of the main reasons why I did drop my league was for the fact I was busy.. I am going to need helpers. (Look below for jobs) I am at school until early morning until about 5:45 PM which is why Assistant Commish is one of the most important roles, you will be helping me make the draft run smoothly while I am gone so do not sign up for the job unless you have some commitment for the role.

Rules
- Points League, stats/standings will be stored on the pickuphockey.com website.
- Fantasy Draft of 32 rounds, unlike my last draft there will be no Entry/Prospect Draft, players like Tavares, Filatov, Hodgson, Hedman will be in the regular draft which is why the regular draft rounds are extended. You will have a 20 man main roster with a maximum of a 12 player AHL team (for the first season at least) + a prospect depth chart. *Unsigned prospects cannot be on your AHL callup squad so you must sign them to Entry Level deals before putting them in the AHL.
- Players without an NHL contract in Europe (like Jagr) cannot be selected in the regular draft, although players with NHL contracts in Europe (like Radulov) can be selected in the regular draft.
- This is a 30 team league
- Salary Cap: $56,800,000. You will use capgeek.com for Cap hits. AHL players and extras do not count against the cap unless you call them up or put them in your main roster.
- You will have 4 hours to make your selection between picks, if you miss your pick.. I will just simply skip you until you pick unless it becomes a long time since your skipped pick. Break period will be from 1:00 AM - 9:00 AM EST, so I expect lots of lists (especially from the east coasters)
- One thing I noticed about myself personally in my last draft was I was a bit nice with firing GM's, well this time around will be different as I wont be taking any **** or excuses.
- We will have a waiting list for people that may want to join if a GM has been fired or quit.
- If you miss 2 picks or miss 1 pick without making that skipped pick for a while you will be fired, no exceptions.
- To join you will have to be approved by me. If I do not approve you, you will be on the waiting list.
- Trading is allowed with an approval by me.
- You must draft an enforcer! I hope you all know what that is.. no you cannot name someone like Lucic an enforcer, they have to be a legit enforcer in the league.(defenseman are not enforcers)
- This draft will be for the 2010-2011 season as we have come a bit late although I may be willing to do a small playoffs or something later.
- Entry Draft will be 3 rounds long

I agree but I really dislike the Franson pick. Way way too early

not that in love with your first line. Hejduk seems to be a hit or miss type pick. Hanzel will be good but not a lot of offense in PHX.

Cant get much better than Chara or Brodeur to build your back end around

St Louis after 6 rounds

Sharp Getzlaf Burrows
Pavelski

Timonen Seabrook
Edler

Varlamov

While Timonen makes a lot i feel he was a steal at the bottom of the 6th round. I should definetly have one of the better defenses in the league.

But only time will tell

I like your team a lot. I think it's one of the stronger teams right now in the draft but a lot of teams look reallly strong so far...

How do you guy's like my team?

Alexander Semin ------ Marian Hossa
Dustin Penner

Andrei Markov Ryan Suter

Still a lot of work to be done so my team can go either way at this point.

If my guys would stay healthy and be consistent, I'd be a top team.

I also think that Edmonton will go all out for a linemate for Hemsky, that would help your team

I made my pick. Can someone PM the next GM please.

Just a small note, I see alot of people putting centers like on the wing. The rule state, and I even clarified with OG at the beginning that centers must play their natural positions...only wingers can switch between LW or RW.

I love this team alot.

It s great mix of vet and youth. But Lucic ain t a 1st line player but def a top 6.
Pietrangelo ain t ready for te big time. So you ll need a better and more experience D like Erohff. ANd your Goaltender I got nothing bad to say.

So good luck for your bottom 6.

By the way I give you a 7.5/10 and a 8.5/10 for the Future

By the way I believe the Steal of the draft was Luongo at 27th overall.

How could Luongo fall that low. Just how, I just don't believe it that I got Luongo with my 27th overall. He s for sure a Top 5 point getter and a easy Top 10 overall player. So hands down the steal of the draft. By the way Sheldon wasn t the steal of the draft because he's way to prone to injury and way too expensive.

Who was the worst pick of the draft? Just wondering...

Louongoal's groin ain't exactly something to be proud about either..also this is a fantasy league, things are different...

I was just pointing out that Luongo was a steal and might even be the steal of the Draft.

But he was still a 1st round selection in a fantasy league which I don't consider a steal. If Gaborik stays healthy, then he is a steal in the second round as he should have been a top 5 pick or at least a 1st rounder. Like I said this is a fantasy league, things are different. Mike Green is a potential 60-goal scorer in this league based on the point system.

Guys, I am going to resign as Carolina GM. I have been very sick lately and just don't have time. Sorry to hold you up.
