Pens trade malkin or crosby? Or Malkin Decision? Check new question
Ok so I had to reword this post so that the discussion is clear. Can you see the pens trading either Crosby or Malkin in the future to relieve a cap hit and get decent wingers? or one really good winger?
Another discussion idea for you, can you see geno going to a different team for a number one line role? why or why not?

I prefer watching Malkin but Crosby is the one that more than half of NHL GMs pick whenever asked (of all players in the league) who they would build a team around. There's a good reason for that.
Edit: On topic - They won't trade either to upgrade wingers. I'm fairly certain they can win without top-shelf wingers.
Hasnt this been done death already....? But to reply to the OP,it would be a difficult decision for me personally. As a pure player I take Malkin, as an overall package I take Crosby. It really would be a toss up, but they have already proven they can win with crap wingers, so the point is moot..
There idea of taking 3 centers and a netminder with there 4 early picks was perfect
Malkin and Sid are obviously Elite and can carry a team.
With two elite centers and decent wingers, you have two lines that can truly make something happen.
Staal's defensive play and role play with other role playing wingers takes the edge off the first two lines
and Flower is a given.
They are not in Cap hell either. They have just enough to maintain these guys for the long run. If anything, Staal is the one to go for prospects who can be future role players. Thats all Sid and Geno need, provided they arent garbage like Guerin or Dupuis
My only fear is that Malkin would consider going to KHL after (or before) his contract ends. I would not trade one of them right now, but Malkin is bigger risk to keep in this team all the way.
Pittsburgh also needs to draft elite wingers OR trade for one youngster and use a top prospect like Despres, 1st or/and 2nd rounder again.
For example: Filatov.
No more dinosaurs like Guerin.
Boyes would be awesome, if we could get him for Staal or Kunitz +.
Staal is replaceable, even I would not like the idea of losing him.
