Go Habs Go, thats all I can say...been a bit disapointed so far despite injuries etc and all the excuses, hoping for the best. I wish Lats could be better and still hope... I'm an Anglo but do think a few hard working Quebecois should be essential to the spirit of the team as in the past but that is perhaps old timer's nostalgia? (The Bleuet bionique and his ilk?) Hey I miss Dandenault and Bouillon at this stage!!! --- Flame away...

ADAMS DIVISION RULES!!!!!

FINALLY someone who is not biased!!
Jacques Demers was just saying how it's sad that Latendresse is benched tonight because "c'est un gars de chez nous, un quebecois" and Joel Bouchard said it's not sad at all, he deserves it because he is not playing hockey at the moment.

You're absolutely correct in your statement above. However if you think players don't take media and fan pressure into consideration when deciding to sign or not to sign in Montreal then you are wrong. In the end like you said media and fan pressure should and most likely don't have any effect on management decision but I would bet my left leg it sure influences potential free agents in a negative way!

Latendresse story is a sad one. Remember how he used to score and play in his two pre-seasons. And then, that Lats dissapeared...

which means he knew he sucked and needed to fight to get his NHL security before the time people realized he snuck into the league by taking advantage of managements weakeness to succomb to the pressure of having locals on the team. when they should have called his bluff.

Demers was awfully giddy about Gionta's injury.

Too bad Gionta can't play tonight. I hope he'll be in the line-up for the next match.

yeah, i noticed that. I'm hoping he was just reacting to, as crete said, things change very fast and not that he's happy about it (I can see him wanting Gui in, but I can't see him wanting Gio out).

Does this mean gui gets promoted to first/second line so that he can finally be honestly evaluated (acc. to Benoit)?

The RDS folks were jumping with joy to learn that Tender will actually be in the line-up tonight. So obvious they are Lats fanboys.

Is Bouchard the younger guy with his hair slicked back and does those intermission 'how to' drills? I have limited French comprehension but he's my favourite RDS analyst.
