Patrick Bartschi

I was browsing the Penguins website and I noticed that it listed Bartschi as 6'1" 199 lbs. I was under the impression that he was smaller, around 5'10" or 5'11". Has he grown alot, or is this just wishful thinking on the part of the Pens website?

Here's the link, by the way:
http://www.pittsburghpenguins.com/team/bio.php?id=87

It also lists him as a right winger as opposed to a center, but that's probably not all that important.

I think he's actually 5'11, but I don't have any website references. Too lazy. He could very well be 6'1 by this time though.

Yes, yes I already checked that. But you can never be sure when his height/weight was last updated. It says at the bottom that the page was last updated in February '04, but I would question how thoroughly it was updated since the stats are only up to the 01/02 season.

Let's just round it off to 6'0. Happy?

There seems to be a fair bit of size debates about multiple players in a couple of different threads right now.

Bah!! A guy who is 5'9" and listed at 180 (and that's really generous IMO) just won the Art Ross and should win the Hart. Size...Bah!!

(Ok...no point to my post...just rambling...)

exception, not the rule.

But I agree, too much stock is put in height. Look at guys like Focht and Mike Wilson, drafted so early because of their size and...well...they suck.

So what's his real size?
Anyone care spying on him?

I know an injury (shoulder?) has him on the shelf for about 4 months. Maybe we'll see him in 2005.
