That's good, Peckham did not look good in his recall, missing all of training camp hurt him imo. It will be interesting to see what Arcene can do, but it's too bad that Souray probably still isn't ready.

Good for Arsene. I think the only thing stopping him for an NHL career is a break and opportunity. Much like Matt Carkner in Ottawa.

He was solid in preseason and I expect the same. Glad they aren't rushing Souray.

I don't think this necessarily means that Souray isn't playing. Chorney is out as is Grebs. A call-up was necessary.

Right. If he didn't feel ready, he isn't forced into action.

Holy crap that D looks porous. Let's hope Atlanta really is tired when we play tomorrow, otherwise we might see them pot 7 goals again.

I can't find much information on him anywhere, but he's got a profile on hockeyfights.com so he must be a tough guy

Let's hope you are right and his nickname isn't "Dean the dancing machine". We need grit not fancy dancy....

Oh he is indeed a tough customer, he played that way in camp and IMO with a good showing could make Strudwick expendable.

I was suitably impressed with Arsene during camp/ exhibition. Good for him for sticking with it. Lets see how he copes with real NHL talent and speed.

IMO even if Souray draws in, they should healthy Strudwick and throw Arsene in for a game, just to see how he does and as a little reward.

He's a tough and physical stay at home D man. He is known for his leadership in the AHL. He keeps his game simple, nothing flashy and no offensive game. He drops the mitts on a fairly regular basis.

IMO Arsene called got up in a bad time. Strudwick Smid Staios and Arsene is an offensive wasteland. Hopefully Souray will be ready to go.

For whatever reason he's being called up, a real feel good story.

29 year old career minor leaguer gets a chance to play in the show at least once.

I hope he's in the lineup.

Only if he can bat the puck out of the front of the net at incredibly opportune times fairly often.
