Another loss coming up!

I'll guess:

Jackets: 6

Oil: 3

Team totals 10 6 2 1 63 3.45 569 .889

Also on the active roster: LW Tom Sestito, G Steve Mason
http://www.bluejacketsxtra.com/live/...A.html?sid=101

Since the above is a bit messy:

Huselius - Vermette - Nash
Umberger - Brassard - Voracek
Chimera - MacKenzie - Dorsett
Filatov - Blunden - Boll

Hejda - Klesla
Tyutin - Stralman
Russell - Commodore

No Torres - his upper jaw was broken last Wednesday. Took a puck to the face on a re-directed point shot by Methot. A lot of blood, and the ref picking up teeth off the ice.

Commodore and Klesla are "maybes" I wouldn't be surprised one way or the other. If either is out, stick Methot in the line-up.

Pahlsson has an elbow issue - he's out. Mason has back spasms (maybe that's what they are calling "really sucked versus Detroit" these days).

Since I live in C-Bus, I'll be in attendance tonight. Unfortunately I see the Oil losing 4-2.

A win tonight and we're .500 on this road trip. It'll also be our first win in a back-to-back.

P.S. My early birthday present will make his presence felt today with a (couple of) huge goal(s)...for me! He won't let me be sad and heartbroken after a loss on the eve of my birthday.

I'd like to accept full responsibility for the Oilers not playing well recently. Seems they've played badly every since I got laid off. My bad moods have translated to their lackluster performances, well that all changes tonight!

p.s. anybody know of any job openings

Awesome GDT

Don't ask how I got access to the locker room but I snagged this exclusive shot of Pat Quinn delivering his pep talk after the morning skate:

Can we play Arsene in Horcoffs spot tonight? I mean not necessarily in his spot, Arsene can play on the 4th line while Stortini moves up to centre Hemmer and Pens.

Not bad, no wonder why Filatov only has a couple of points this year playing with the all world talent of Jared Boll. Now obviously since I said this Boll and Filatov will combine for 6 points tonight.

Filatov's ice time also depends on his own play. Take the game last Friday for example, when at the end of the second, Filatov thought it would be a good idea to tackle the opposing player and get a penalty. Then, when released from the penalty box, he stayed on the ice (even though Huselius was ready to jump on) and proceeded to have 3 turnovers all in a row. To be honest, I thought his butt was going to be stapled to the bench in the third (it wasn't).

Filatov seems undersized and overwhelmed a bit at this point. He has been getting 4th line minutes + 2 PP unit. Depending on the score I wouldn't expect that line to see much ice time in the 3rd period tonight.

Concerning Torres:
Quote:
Blue Jackets left wing Raffi Torres could miss a week, perhaps as many as two weeks, after getting hit in the mouth with a deflected puck in the first period last night. Torres lost some teeth and also crushed the area that connects the teeth to the maxilla (upper jaw bone), Jackets general manager Scott Howson.

Someone on our board heard "45 stitches" on some hockey broadcast later that night.

So he gets **** all ice time...and if he ****s up he's benched? Terrible way to coach a top prospect. 6 min a nice if you make a mistake you're toast. ANother prospect that CBJ is going to ruin.

Gags is out as per Tencer Tweet.

D'oh.

"Pat Quinn says Gagner will likely be out tonight with a lower body injury. Team could dress Nilsson in his place or go with 7 defensemen."

At this point, we pretty much have to accept the fact that we'll never be healthy.

This blows. Hard.

Concerning Filatov (my opinion) - he would best served being in Syracuse. But, there have been rumors and innuendo that he will "never play in Syracuse again". It isn't Hitch's fault as far as I can tell, it is the hand he has been dealt. The team doesn't need the turnover machine version of Filatov, they need one that weighs about 20 lbs more and doesn't make stupid mistakes.

Dear hockey gods..
we're sorry we pissed you off by going to the '06 final when we weren't supposed to. It happened, we didnt win. Could you maybe ease off on the voodoo curse you put on us?

Sincerely
The Oilers Fanbase.

The '06 finalists were cursed royally. The Hurricanes haven't been hit quite as hard considering that they've made the playoffs since then, but they're still reeling.

I'm going to ask for a win tonight, even though our 3rd and 4th lines are basically all injured. I need a win so that I can actually talk to my brother in law Red Wings fan without punching him in the face
