Apparently I was wrong when I thought Dunham would do well in this poll. This one shouldnt last too long.

Dunham was the first guy that I thought of too, thinking along the lines of true backups. But if Richter's available, then it's just Goalie No. 1 and Goalie No. 2, in which case the choice is pretty obvious.

.

Voted Valliquette simply because Richter was never really a back-up goalie.

He backed up on occassion, but he was a starter.

Choosing Henrik as the starter is pretty accurate, but for the role you are referring to, I don't believe Richter should be listed.

Well its the best team we can put together. I think its more likely, for example, that we see a Petr Nedved as 4th line center rather than a Manny Malhotra or a Blair betts. Think of it as the all star team of the NYR for this decade.

So my vote is to Richter.

I think the idea is to build the best team possible. So don't look at it as backup goaltender but goaltender #2.

I guess I just don't want to remember Richter as a 2000's goalie, they were not very memorable years. MR had his moments, but nothing from those years stands out but heartache and injury.

Big Valley.
