Well he is not going to score or add anything either. He will get a hooking call though

I agree. He may not play a lot, but the idea that we can afford to waste shifts/minutes on a useless player doesn't usually lend itself to good results over the length of a season.

Wow, this is so sloppy I can't watch. I don't understand why we are not playing the same offensive style that made us succesfull early on. They need to skate in and make high percentage passes. Crash the net and get rebounds.

Is it only me or is Ivanans non-stop on the ice?

Terry Murray facepalm.

Those pads by Vokoun are ridiculous. Giguere like. I bet they are at least an inch wider than those by Quick.

I hate Ivanans' lazy penalties as much as anyone, but the fact is it's a 0-0 game, TM knows the boys might be feeling the effects of the last game of a long road trip. My guess is he's prepping the guys for a strong 40 minute effort once everyone gets their legs. He's managing his bench for any number of reasons we're not privy to.

Putting Ivanans out there when the game is 0-0 in the first 20 minutes is far different (and far more advantageous if there's a reason some guys need a rest) than when the team is down a goal or two with 4 minutes left in the game.

Regardless, it's a microscopic event that doesn't deserve as much ****-shoveling as it's getting. If he doesn't take a stupid penalty, who the hell cares when he's out there. He has to play at some point to give other guys a break.

You're right. My comments are ridiculous. More dump, more chase. That's what wins games. Just ask those dump and chase teams like Detroit, Pittsburgh, Sharks, hold on, hold on, I am being ridiculous again.

Johnson and Moore got offsetting penalties there at the end so we'll be 4 on 4 to start the 2nd.

i don't know..........

the kings games getting worse and worse.....
May they win tonight but that's not the point.

How can you coach a team that bad ????
I mean it is a different story to match some top line....
but always just react on the opponent instead start something.
There are not that much teams as bad as the Panthers.
The offense should play the offensive hockey of their life...
Powerful aggressive offense, don let any breath for the opponent.

What i have to watch is, Murray is matching the lines after the panther.
Ivanans is always on when Weiss is on.......

Even to match a pp under defensive circumstances
The position of the players is made for saving the puck on the blueline instead to put much pressure on the opponents and scare them with one timer.

We will see what that season brings....

Don't be "ridiculous". I am comparing the Kings to all other 29 dump and chase teams.

This is why Andy Murray's teams are so successful and have been so successful over the years.

It might be only me but I really feel that if a mice was in-front of JJ, she would block Johnsons shot. This Kings team lacks a good PP QB with a good shot (& with quick release) big time.

You know as well as the rest of us we were scoring too many goals. This league is about parity, dammit! Changes had to be made!

I still have a good feeling about this game though I worry about playing the no talent Panthers' game - this is not a good team and doesn't have our depth of talent. We should be running circles around these fools...ok, that's an exaggeration but you get the point.
They lack scoring depth up front, but beyond that they have a good D lineup, a good goaltender, and IMO are well coached.

They finished last year 41-30-11.

They're certainly no push-overs, and I wouldn't expect to dominate them by any means. The parity in the NHL right now is incredible.

Half of it is the fugly passing they have going on around the points. Bobble, pass off, bobble, pass off, bobble, pass off, bobble, dump deep.

Slightly off-topic but when Bob Miller was pitching NHL2K10 and they showed Doughty playing the game at HockeyFest Junior got more face time (in HD) than JDM did in his network debut!
