He was going to practice hard with Modo this week and then possibly join Tre Kronor in Stockholm. Then he'll see.

i read somewhere, if this comebacktry doesn´t go well, he´ll do other things. I don´t blame him If you´re hurting and hurting and go on IR all the time, it´s terrible. Each time you are injured then caome back it will take up to 10-15 games until you are the same you. And in Forsbergs case he never came up to his level in Flyers & nashville. Never. you must have a strech of20 games to play at your best level. Forsberg never did that latley.

Too bad. Forceberg were the greatest exciting player i´ve ever seen playing hockey.

Thank god we got Ovechkin to watch now, cause after Forsberg there were no one that intense and skilled as him. If he not come back i say was, but even if he comes back it will not be the Avalanche-Forsberg

A press conference has been announced for 3 PM (9 AM EST) this afternoon. Retirement? Modo? NHL? We'll soon know.

It is aired somewhere on TV?

MODO if the foot will be okay. otherwise he will retire...i think. Another talent in SEL is great to see. and not just one talent of many...its Forsberg. He could be great for Modo, but i think he will be just okay,.. in his mesuring

Like Tre Kronor play right now i am not surprised he turned em down....

Peter Forsberg's debut

I saw the web feed of the Ångermanland DM final against KB65 today.

It wasn't the best hockey that I've ever seen, but it was dramatic and entertaining game nevertheless. The handicap format they had come up with was quite a hit.

Too bad that Peter didn't have enough distance to the situation after the game, and could put on a smile and congratulate the KB players to an heroic game and the championship. As a matter of fact, I found his comments to be arrogant if not whiny. Very surprising indeed.

Also, if anybody can confirm, I heard that the game was sold out even before Peter's announcement. If this is true, I think it certainly shows why Swedish Hockey needs Norrland in a big way to continue developing in a positive manner.

Norrland IS hockey.
Forsberg was whiny, but it seems the debut wasn't what he hoped it would be. It seems the guy will never be healthy again.

True. Norrland is wide and beatiful. Hopefully we can even more extend the hockeyculture there.

Forceberg is not a looser, a really bad looser in the case he´ll loose anyway.
That´s Forsberg.

Not at all surprised.

It's exactly the reaction I would have expected from him.

He's very good at many things, but accepting a loss has never been one of them.

There's even been rumours that he's been banned from playing video games with his various team mates because he gets so outright mad if he loses

The day he accepts a loss without being whiny, arrogant and seriously miffed is the day he announces his retirement.

Somewhat funny story regarding Peter and video games.
When Peter played for MODO before he moved overseas a local car dealership store held a "come out and meet Peter Forsberg"-day. It must have been a couple of 100 kids or so in line, and inside they had rigged up a video game corner where you could challenge Peter. The game was NHLPA Hockey 93' on SEGA and whoever got 5 goals on the board first would win. I got absolutely crushed 5-0 but it was still an awesome moment for me to meet him in person. Now, out of all the kids in line I saw just one kid beating Forsberg...and that kid was current MODO goalkeeper Michal Zajkowski. He won three cans of the newly released Pepsi MAX for his efforts!

Can anyone tell me what these recent articles say?

Forsberg i Modos trupp

They basicly says that he was miffed by his debut against KB65, then suffered a couple of days with stomach flu.

But that he has been feeling better the last days (and practices).

He's listed to play tomorrow but he has stated that he will only play if he feels that he's 100% and has something to add to the team.

Team management has stated that they'll give whatever time he feel he needs to get back in shape.

There has also been ideas thrown around that he'll play but in a very limited role and focus on helping Modo's mediocre PP.

A funny side note is that after he was added to the active roster the media requests has sky rocketed.

There's more 100 media dudes accredited to tomorrows game, including at least one representative from Denver Post

Great goal.

However, what the hell was EA doing there? He seems shaky today.

Yup, most of them seems to just don't give a ****. And thats what they've been doing for several games. I bet half of them already got new clubs for next year.

Forsberg's team is eighth in the 12-team Swedish Elite League - considered Europe's best - and in pretty good shape to make the playoffs.
