It never ceases to be astounding how many ads are on the ice and jerseys over there. It must be a bit difficult tracking the puck through big yellow/blue and red/black faceoff circles.
When you play you don't really look for the puck, you "sense" it. Hard to explain.

No not really, it has always been like this so us swedes are pretty used to it.

It's really not that hard. You really get used to it. I dont even see the ads anymore.
Foppa rarely says that it feels good, he's so competive that he'll never be happy with how he plays, if he would score double hattricks he would say that he played "ok, but could've played better".
So true, Foppa is never happy with his performance it seems.
I've heard a story that when he was a kid he came home and was crying after a game and Kent Forsberg asked why
"we lost, 10-9!"
"Ok, did you score then?"
"yes 9...."
No idea if that story is true or not but it sounds very much like Foppa.

The story is true, though the player in question and the score is wrong. It was Gretzky.

Yeah. I could have sworn it was Foppa. But the score was something like 9:5 and Foppa scored all 5 or so. Regardless if it was Foppa or Gretzky. Foppa has excactly that attitude.

I was thinking mainly from the standpoint of goalies. Pretty sure there aren't many Jedi blast shield down-trained goalies over there making saves through "sensing". With less contrast between the surface and the puck, I would imagine some shots really sneak up on goalies, especially through screens.
A week ago Sundstrom was a month away from playing again due to an injury = 3 weeks now.
Naslund hasn't worked out that much since he retired, and it'll take him atleats two weeks - he him self said he'd hope to play before christmas - that's 5 weeks away - so the 2 weeks I said seems about right.

It's not once you get used to it. And us Swedes are.
I read a blog post today that said Naslund has looked great and could very easily play next week
Considering Naslund always has had high expectations on himself I doubt he will play until he is sure himself. No matter what Vancouver fans say, I lost respect for them a long time ago. He wants to perform well.
Foppa is still a top player and i do think he will be on the Olympic team if his Foot holds . And we need Forsbergs Physical play style when we play canada.
Atleast i hope he is there even if not on the first line he can play shutdown line if he want i cant see any 3-4 line player who is better 2way then him on the swedish Bench.
Did you see his interview with Peter on hockeykanalen?
Damn why won't MoDo answer my email? I just want to make sure I fully understand before I order my Naslund jersey.
Yeah I did. They looked happy and full of energy to start helping their team. I'm born in same city as Nazzy and Foppa (and so many others) so MoDo is close to my heart. I am very proud and happy that they are doing this, it means alot to us fans. MoDo = Heart of Hockey.
Well I'm trying to order a Naslund jersey from the store but it is a little vague.. I read about how some products cannot be shipped outside of Sweden so I just wanted to get some things clear sent that a few days ago, no response yet.
MoDo won 2-1 today in OT, Foppa with 1 goal and 1 assist.
