Why cant they just get along? Why wouldnt Martin scratch Varada or Schaefer instead? Both could give the sens the jump start they need while covering areas at both PP and PK. Give the young guns their time!

In a perfect world, all our good players could play. Unfortunately tough decisions have to be made. I wouldn't take out Varada or Schaefer. Varada brings so much to that line with Hossa and Bonk, making room for the skill and being reliable for the pass or on defence. Schaefer has really impressed me this series with his physical play, he's quite creative offensively and really tight on defense. I want to see Vermette back in, but not at the expense of either of those guys.

I have been saying this all along.Take Todd White out he's done nothing but win a few faceoffs here and there.

Agreed...White isn't ready to be playing playoff hockey. Put Spezza on a decent line for once and watch what happens.

I miss those even more, our very own 60 point player and there's no room for him in the playoffs.

No way Schaefer gets scratched as he's been arguably our best player, IMO.

As much as I don't like Varada he has to stay un their because of his grit.Schaefer creates some pretty good chances and as a Leaf fan I would prefer to see vermette out their instead of schaefer

Varada and Shaefer have been two of the bright spots on this team. I want to suggest a contreversial line-up that I think pay divdends.

Varada/Bonk/Hossa
Shaefer/Fisher/Alfie
Langfeld/Smokes/Havlat
Vermette/Spezza/Neil

The obvious exceptions are White and Bondra. I've very impressed with Lanfeld's willingness to drive to the net, and his presence would create space for Havlat.

The Schaefer/Fisher/Alfie trio would be a high energy line that woud create mega chances.

Vermette also brings high energy and penalty killing ability to the line up.

Well, Langfeld's back in Binghamton for the playoffs, so that's not an option.
