Gabriel Dumont on tv (RDS, SPORTSNET) 7PM QMJHL vs RUSSIA

he's likely going to play on a line with his drumondville teammate Marc-Olivier Vachon and nashville draft pick Gabriel Bourque (play together in midjet AAA)

-also some interesting guy to watch for the 2010 and 2011 draft (Couturier, Bournival, Gormley)

-some interesting guy to watch on team russia

Is Dumont our only prospect playing? I know Avtsin is not playing and maybe Trunev is too old?

Why no Avtsin or Trunev? There were 2008 drafted players there, so Trunev isn't too old, and why isn't Avtsin there?

And Caron will develop into what people had in mind as far as Latendresse is concerned. The kid already improved his skating from last year.Something is sure, he already proved that he deserves at least an invitation to the camp.

And Sauvé will become what people think that Fortier might become. Honestly, in Sauvé and Caron, Boston shows some great Q scouting.

Cormier would have indeed be great for us. Was on my wishlist obviously.

Bournival is a mystery to me. Clearly, the kid has some serious skills. But I doubt his desire to implicate himself in the play.l

There's no mystery to me as far as Bournival is concerned. I love his speed and skill.

the only thing that worried me about Caron its his injury past. every year he seem to have a serious injury , but unlike Lats in junior Caron does scored a lot of garbage goal in front of the net wich means he goes there unlike Lats

Sauvé he's a sick skater, he's got Lombardi/vermette speed, but i still wonder about his hockey sense.

and bournival well he's not the Michael Bournival i saw last year in the Q final

And clearly, from what I said, the mystery ain't about the speed and skill. But there's other parts of a player's game that needs to be considered. And he'll need to show an improvement in that area if he wants to be a 2nd rounder.

I'm not sure but i think Bourque was the one playing with Leblanc and Duschene right? He was TERRIBLE in the summer camp.

he's been ok, i would have like to see him to be better as this is only game to show what he can do to get an invitation to the december camp (not playing game 2 in shawinigan)

always around the net, work hard but have been more impress by his buddy and linemate Gabriel Bourque

Maybe but if we take a Habs perspective - Sauve was already gone by the time we picked thanks to the tanguay trade and I still prefer Leblanc over Caron.

And what I'm trying to say is that his speed and skill should be enough to get him drafted there.

We'll see I guess. But I liked 1 shift in particular where he had 2 great hits, probably more together than the 5 games I've seen from him so far in the Q.

It goes with the experience, our own Lefebvre, who I'm obviously not comparing him with Bournival, went from insivible to more assertive towards the end. If Bournival can show that, he will be a 2nd rounder.
