SO goals don't count in the goals against.

I'm with you. You can only praise "effort" for so long when the losses keep piling up.

Better game, liked the effort. You knew if it got to the shootuot we would be in trouble.

Need to bring the effort and determination home with them.

When a team is short on talent, the diggers need to have more effort. I am not just talking about tonight, because overall I thought it was good. To many games however, Oilers have been outworked. I have always believed there is no excuse for being beat to a puck in your own end. Oilers are guilty of that alot. The point is however, if you don't have alot of talent, then you better be the more hardworking team. That is why the Oilers have lost so many recently. I really hope they get the ship righted soon, because its going to be a very long season, with no playoffs, otherwise.

I think I saw him working the Beer Express stand in section 236 when I went to the Ranger game two weeks ago.

Yeah, Strudwick is a decent role player that is just being used too much becasue of injuries. Its not fair to lump him in with those other 2 dissapointments.

So if you're sick of the mediocrity, are you just going to whine until they contend for the NW division? If so, let me know so you can join IATL

I'm hoping he's the answer up front. A trade for Lecavelier (or similar talent level centre) would be huge for this team. I think it would make this team a legit playoff threat. There's always the cost, but damn, how long has this team needed a guy like that down the middle?

I have to agree, I wanted to think it was a bad string of injury....that was 3 years ago...ugh.

We need more weight into the lineup.

Whether you total or Average, the Oilers are far from 2nd worst in the league. Stop crying.

If by "move" you mean tripping and nearly falling over and then somehow shooting top shelf with 1 skate off balance

Oilers keep finding ways to lose hockey games.

And I am so done with Tom Gilbert. He was always soft, but this year he's doing nothing at BOTH ends of the ice. Trade him for magic beans, let Chorney develop.

It's hard to watch the Oilers when they're slumping so bad, it feels like they'll never win another game this year. No matter how hard they try, the other team is just that little bit better.

They're simply not a very good hockey team these days, and their lineup bears that out.

Vinny is struggling and reports say that he wants a trade but come on, he has that golden no-trade clause and these guys are selfish enough to exercise it even if they're not happy in their current situation.

Plus that contract is kind of a noose.

Wouldn't say it was that lucky a stop. Garon often sweeps one pad behind the other to help take away the fivehole.

Impressed with Brule tonight though and kid did everything, prepared well for his first game back in Columbus and showed all kinds of focus on the shootout attempt.

Not sure how many people will agree but I thought Horcoff had a strong game.

Smid and Vish with strong games as well.

Well, Vish was fantastic. Late in the game on that Nash rush he bangs his stick enough to stop him going high and scoring and also avoid a penalty. So many plays like that.
