I don't see JF going anywhere soon, he is one of the few guys that hits and as sad as it sounds this team needs him right now. I am not so sure Nillson would even get picked up on waivers , let alone getting something back in return?

i hate the idea of trading away cogs. put him up with hemmer and penner and watch the goals roll in

give them horcoff for some pucks and gas for the zamboni

I agree, Cogs has been patient and not complained (as far as we know) about his 4th line role. He deserves a few games on the top line to show what he's worth. Now a guy who deserves the 4th line right now..Horcough.

Well I call bs on on this because. I called a few bodies in montreal who listen to the all sports station in montreal and the talking head said cogs was a player HE wanter and not a player he thought montreal may want

No way they trade PK - they just traded Ryan McDonough (sp?) in the summer (he was their other top prospect dman.

Perhaps they'd take Horcoff for PK and a 1st. ala Gomez travesty

pretty sure Montreal would give Kosistsyn brothers Vs Cogliano + Nilsson right now...

I could also see Chipchura against Pouliot if the Oilers are interested.

That's exactly my problem with this, some radio guy talks about trades he thinks might make sense or guys who would be a good fit for the Habs and it becomes OMG THIS TRADE IS HAPPENING GUYS!!1!

I get that people like discussing fair value or which trades might work but let's not spin it as something it's not.

Though I have read about the Oilers interest in the brothers in more than place.

Garrioch had it last week (yes I know his reputation) and I read it in the Globe and Mail in the week before.

So perhaps there is some interest?

I think that's a better lineup if Gagner and Kostitsyn can rekindle any of the chemistry they had in junior.

Bolded players are either over 6 feet or Physical (Brule)

And on what planet are Latendresse and S. Kostitsyn more then just spare parts/fringe NHLers, let alone top 6 players? It's certainly not Earth.

The one player on Montreal that makes sense for Cogliano would be A. Kostitsyn, he, much like Cogs, has struggled this year, but unlike Lats and SK he actually has had history of being a successful player in this like Cogliano.

A. Kostitsyn
vs.
Cogliano
Nilsson/Moreau (to balance salary)

Cogs isn't doing anything rite nao, but theres not a lot i want from montreal. Package him up with horc or moreau for someone thats gonna make an impact on this team!

I'm sure there would be a line up of teams willing to give up impact players for Horcoff & Cogliano.

That's the reason your not a GM....

Latendresse??? Really?? Sergei I could see why some people like him but Latendresse?? The guy is a disgrace, no hockey talent whatsoever. The only reason he's in the NHL is cause he's french and only the Habs will take him. You don't wanna believe me don't, but it's the truth.

Never in a million years., this guy is just a big lazy useless plug, why would you even suggest him.

I don't know the OP's motive, but the Habs would most likely be the last team that we could deal with, they are a bad trading partner and have very little on their squad that we can benefit from

how about Lapierre....

oh wait...

i'd like PK and would take a flyer on SKost for spare parts (i.e. Nilsson), but that's about it.

Lantendresse posted 16, 16 and 14 goals in 80, 72, and 56 games. Appears to be scoring at a similiar pace as Cogliano if not higher. Plus he is big. Something we need.

Plus Sergie has skills, think of him as an upgrade on Robert Nilsson but with mental problems.

Wasn't Penner that guy too? Maybe Penner could teach him. He has potential.

Hey i always have high hopes. Maybe cogs and gilbert instead and they can just have ethan if they want. How about we get spezza and volchenkov, if murray still wants cogliano
