Great. It looked like he had really turned the corner this year and with all the injuries, great to have him back.

I too really hope he comes back as strong as he started, he sounds incredibly positive and ready to go so I'm optimistic. He had a great few games for sure, I was looking forward to that all year and still am!

Now the question is who does he replace? I'm guessing Leach, but he has been solid. MAB has been atrocious often but lately he's had some decent games and made better offensive decisions for sure. I assume the coaches will forgive him his obvious flaws and favour his offensive additions to the team more than Leach's solid but quiet simple game. But I have become fond of Leach for sure, better than I expected!

Doubt it, Martin said he liked what he saw from last game and we need PP help.

now that Ob is back i really really wish MAB would sit. His cons really out-weigh his pros. Sure he has a great shot but his horrible defensive game hurts the team way more than his shot helps us.

Just seems like yesterday Ovechkin spun O'byrne into the ice.

Leach is actually playing like Gill was advertised to play. However, Leach is more mobile than we were told, except for the Devils fans, who told us the truth.

MAB is a necessary part of the mix, though at worst, he could replace the 12th forward in certain games like Mark Streit used to.

I think we need MAB for the PP, and even strength, he is improving. Let's not forget that he had ZERO training camp. However, he WAS a +5 last year for Minnesota, and a PLUS player careerwise, despite playing for average teams at best.

It's kind of a logjam back there. Perhaps I would rotate Mara and Leach a bit, the healthy competition might do Mara some good; I'm not crazy about his plus-minus, especially considering that Hamrlik-Spacek play against the top lines most of the time.

I guess you can never have too much depth at D, when injuries are so easily occuring in the league right now.

have we forgotten how many seasons hes played in the nhl? how hes always been a liability defensivly and probably always will be hence no one signed him this year.

Leach has been very solid so far. MAB right now is not contributing much on the PP to keep him in there, I'd be inclined to keep Leach in there for now.

Good to see O'B back and the Dogs will be happy to get Carle back as they were short 1 player and had to dress 17, plus they will need him when they take on the moose this weekend.

When I first glanced at the thread tittle I thought it said CAREY sent down....

I nearly threw up lol. Good to see OB back in the line up. Hopefully he won't try to do too much and pick up where he left off. His physical presence will be much appreciated!

Without MAB, we probably lose our last three games, instead of winning two of them. Defensively, he is being less often scored upon than Mara, I find.

They should send Spacek down instead of Carle. He should never have been scratched anyway.

Yea send Spacek to the AHL over a guy that's played some 2 nhl games. great idea.

I don't care at this point. Once Markov comes back, Carle should be a regular on the right with O'Byrne and Gorges. With Markov, Mara and Hammer on the left. Send Spacek and Gill on waivers. Keep MAG as reserve when our PP sucks.

A team that couldn't attract UFA's, puts two of their UFA signees on waivers, sounds smart.

You're letting your anger for Spacek greatly influence your judgment KG. Carle has played well, but no where near well enough to bump Spacek out of the line up.
