Not that unreal, the Coyotes have more wins than we do (granted games in hand but still)

Phoenix played with heart and got the bounces and the calls, and had extra rest.

Completely wrong call. Only should ever be awarded if it's a penalty shot situation, in this case, where it would be a goal no matter what at the point of penalty. Would he have scored the empty netter if Pronger wasn't there? Sure, easily, but that's not the question. Would he have easily scored if no penalty had been taken? Unclear, once the referee raised his arm (which apparently also means nothing tonight), the puck was already below the goal line and it would have taken a superhuman stop, turn, and stuff to score all of a sudden. BS to not make the call initially and then award it later.

Still, we scored 1 goal. Piss-poor special teams tonight. No Betts hurt our PK most of the night, but it's been slipping in general. Power play looked lazy, and I'm not going to chalk it up to the 3rd game in 4 nights and be done with it. Loose pucks were there and guys weren't hustling.

Just watching the Hawks, we are not even close to being in their league. Flyers, making Jim Vandadummy look like Denis Potvin,,,
No excuse to losing to the Yotes , and 1 goal vs that defense is embarrassing,

Up until the last few games I'd been defending Carter...but outside of what I perceive to be an increase in faceoffs won, he's been absolutely invisible. Anyway, this was an absolutely pathetic effort time. I know they played (and got their ***** handed to them) last night, but for a team that's supposed to be a cup contender....wow.

Edit: Should probably mention that the reffing was atrocious but bad reffing never excuses a poor effort.

Whats funny about this is that in this game it was Mike Richards that was flat out terrible. He had the puck on his stick in good position in the offensive zone and fumbled it away numerous times, he must have turned the puck over in dangerous situations at least 5 times, and his passing was off the mark the entire night.

But you know what, expecting everything to go everyone's way in every game and to be dominate is unrealistic, and when its one of our best guys you give him a pass. Carter wasn't amazing, but he was far from our worst player. The Coyotes flat out smothered us in the neutral zone and in the offensive zone. Looks like we didn't have an effective game plan

on replay Betts shot his arm up, and immediately dropped it with a drooping shoulder. My bet shoulder dislocation. If ya ever had a rotator cuff injury...ya know!

The Devils had parades in the parking lot. I don't think the guys who got their names on the Cup really gave a damn.

hard to pin one guy as bad tonight, to many players were skating with cement skates tonight. Emery and Pyorala played well

Living in Scottsdale and playing on a team with 10% the talent that just handled the Flyers quite easily, life must be good for them

We need our important scoring guys going every night, Richards, Carter, Briere. Giroux and JVR are still doing well, but youth is their excuse. 1st line Pyro (I love him, but right now he's a 3rd liner), 2nd line Laliberte (not screwing up, but he's still an AHLer out there), and not healthy scratched Cote (he plays hockey?) killed us. I mean, Blair Betts gets hurt early in the game and logs more TOI (3:22) than freakin' Cote (2:03). 2 minutes? What's that, like 4 shifts? Laliberte was invisible because he played 5 min. That means the majority of the game was played by 9 forwards. No wonder they looked tired in the 3rd.

Carter and Richards hold on to the puck for way, way too long. Richards it's a bit more understandable because he's a playmaker, but they both really need to move it sooner. Richards' hustle has been great last night and tonight, but things aren't clicking. And his pass that led to the EN goal was atrocious -- just as bad a play as Powe's last night. It's unacceptable.

I think I never saw that many missed passes in the offensive and neutral zone. Just brutal.

Our "superstars" were stopped by Yandle, Schlemko, Lepisto, Heshka. Vandermeer and Aucoin Phoenixs Coyotes BEST d-men.

I only wish all of our players gave a **** like our 4th line.

This Coyotes team was probably one of the worst possible matchups for the Flyers playing their 3rd game in 4 nights.

I know that you can say it was something that should never happen but I'll give them a pass for tonight. If they come out in Colorado looking like **** though, I'll be really concerned.

Hearing Betts messed up his shoulder again most likely isn't good news at all though. Having a guy like Powe would have helped out a lot tonight.
