Trade Fisher. He's a detriment to our goaltending, and taking up 4.2 mil of our cap.

Pascal Leclaire injured from puck to the face?

I didn't get a chance to read up on what happened as a result of the puck that came over the boards in last nights game and was stoped by Pascal Leclaires face.

Nice stop though.

Someone here at work said he's got a busted jaw, but I haven't seen any news.
Can anyone fill me in?

My favourite part of the article on TSN was that the puck deflected off the glass behind the bench and then hit him in the face. This guy is cursed with horrendous luck.

I have a hard time believing we're gonna go with Brodeur as the backup for such a long stretch. What are some good UFA goalies? Or goalies on the trade block?

Why would we trade for a goalie? It's only a month, and we don't exactly have a ton of cap room. Are we going to sign some guy just to waive him a month later?

Elliott is a very capable backup, and the Sens will have to rally around him over the next 4 weeks or so.

It's unfortunate, but the situation is what it is.

We are playing 17 games in 31 days in December! The longest break in the month is 2 days . Maybe Murray will try to sign someone cheap? Or else Brodeur will have to play a couple of those games.

Isn't Carolina doing this when they signed Manny Legace after Cam Ward got injured.. I could be wrong.. cause we obviously don't know what they are gonna do with him after Ward is back.. but they already had a SOMEWHAT decent back-up with Leighton/Peters duo.. but went out and got Legace

4 weeks eh?

the schedule over that time is brutal, except for a couple of games, it's going to be tough.
Great timing. Like others have said, bad luck or no luck, Leclaire's got it all.

I think Elliot is cabable of getting us through this stretch, but as long as he doesn't get overwhelmed with the task at hand, and just gets the mindset of "ya gotta do what ya gotta do" and does it like he can.

Well, DP is coming back, so the Islanders are going to try and trade one of their goaltenders. <_>

I imagine that Chris Holt will play for Bingo. IMO, he is better than Brodeur or Chiodo but didn't get the op due to contractual obligations to the other two.

Biron is the one that would be traded, is was apart of the agreement when he signed in Long Island. His cap hit is 1.4 M. Cheechoo for Biron would work for me, but thats not going to hapen.

NYI has about 17M in cap space. They don't exactly need to rush to get anyone out of there.

Elliotts time to shine, can go a long way in establishing himself as a future number one with a solid stretch here.
