I hope about 15 players return from mental injury.

Touchee. Would be really nice to get Stone and Chorney back right about now. I would really just like us to have the options that we had on opening day. We need some energy players in there. Once Stone gets in and Brule and Jacques get back into things I'm hoping to see some improvement.

I find it interresting how Penner logged more minutes then any player last game (except JDD but it seemed like JDD only played for about 20 minutes ) Quinn must really like the way hes been playing

Penner's been doing a lot of things right. Using his underrated speed and his strength on rushes to get to the net and staying in front of the net when it's appropriate. He seems to be one of the only players who knows exactly what he's doing so he deserves the ice time.

All I want to know is this...

Nikolai Khabibulin continues to nurse a back injury and as a result, Devan Dubnyk has been recalled from Springfield and will backup Jess Deslauriers tonight.

Who is this Jess fellow?

Penner is truly a new player out there. He wasn't even this good the year he scored 29 in Anaheim.

It will be interesting to see once the game starts. If they don't take it to the Coyotes right away, it will be a long night.
Actions speak louder than words and all I hear so far are just words.
I hope from the meeting we will see a consistent and concerted effort, but if I was a betting man,.
This will be no cakewalk, the Coyotes are playing well and lo and behold they play like a solid unit together even with their top defensemen out.

They will beat the Coyotes convincingly. Then everyone will be happy for a couple of days.

I wouldn't be so confident about that. The Coyotes are playing well, remarkable given the touch and go nature of their current ownership situation and the turmoil over the past summer. We're spiralling downwards, and Deslauriers has looked shaky in the last two outings.

No argument here. Just an off-beat prediction.

I'll bet she's tougher than half our forwards.

well it wasn't really so much about the number as much as the general placement of the "five hole"... ya know.

although it is relieving to hear you are stuck on 3. anything more...well ya just not right....

I don't think that's enough, how many of the last 5 -10 games have we seen the Oilers come out swinging from a couple shifts to 10-15 minutes...and then dissipate.

They need to man up and play like they are an NHL team...until then they well get 2nd place in most games. Like you said, we need to see a consistent and concerted effort. /heres hoping

I wish the Oilers had Vernon Fiddler in the lineup...the Edmonton native had a chance to come back home over the offseason and management didn't even give it a second thought.

Ridiculous.

I laughed at that. I think it should be Jeff.
