Lines when healthy?

Hey,

I'm the Sharks for a Trade deadline game on these boards, and was wondering what their lines are when fully healthy? Also, what you think the biggest need(s) are?

Thanks

We need a top 4 defenseman and maybe another bottom 6 forward. Potentially moving are huskins, clowe and possibly Mitchell.

Thanks everybody, I have already been going after a top 4 D, and have been offering Clowe, so looks like I'm on track.

Assuming no other trades, I could see us running 7 dmen during the playoffs. Shelly or Staubitz won't get much time anyway, and 7 dmen will be useful when games go into overtime. Plus we can play Demers situationally too; he is afterall our 2nd best offensive dman.

Agree with the assesment and lines. I think our secondary scoring could come from Seto and Malhotra. Seto's injury has slowed him. Getting him going should be a major priority right now.

I'm also not against putting Marleau back on the 2nd line.

The problem is that we have constant cap issues, so the guys whom I want to play (primarily Jamie McGinn) can't. Otherwise, I sub him for Shelly/move Orty down and put McGinn there.

Here's the D.

Boyle - Murray
Blake - Vlasic
Huskins - Wallin
Leach

I think we'll keep Demers and Joslin in the AHL to finish the season there - help them for their playoff run. They both get call ups when done given the Sharks are still playing.

will Couture get ice time in the playoffs? i mean, if healthy of course...

McGinn - Couture - Mitchell would be a pretty fun line.

We wish all those players the best, but are very proud to welcome a top defensemen to play alongside Boyle, and a project shutdown defensemen.

Too soon to say. Clowe, Seto and Malhotra have been moved around when everyone is healthy. Its not going to surprise me to see the top line broken up at some point before the playoffs to spread the scoring out. It could be:

Clowe-Thornton-Heatley
Marleau-Pavelski-Seto
Malhotra-Nichol-Ortmeyer
McGinn/Shelley-Mitchell-Staubitz/McLaren

Boyle-Wallin
Huskins-Murray
Blake-Vlasic

Leach
Demers

Yeah, I have a feeling about this too. It seems like the burger line was put together largely to prep them for the Olympics. I don't think the lines are currently setup the best to get the most out of everybody. I think Seto will find his place back up on that first line eventually.
